Ganda talaga ng Opalina laging gumaganyan din sakin kasi malalaki ang leaves mabigat kasi. Ang dami mong propagation ang gaganda. Thanks for the shout out po
Hmm, I think this might be one of those rare occurrences that the plant has gone monocarpic like an aeonium. It doesn’t happen often or to every plant that one has pupped but it is one of those things that just for no reason happens. So I’d look out for a flower to erupt. Looking at the plants around that one before you chopped the top looked perfectly good and not etiolated so I think your imbricata just went to flower in one of those rare instances. I’d re-chop the top after it begins to bloom or when it’s rooted again so you can propagate more pups along the stem. Edit: for the opalina in the future maybe you could test the difference when beheading like you did with the opalina leaving not leads left on the stem and beheading leaving leafs on the stem and how fast propagation occurs and if it’s better to leave leads or if it doesn’t really matter at all.
Thank you Erin🙏🏼😍❤️ you're absolutely right about the imbricatta and that's what I did with the head, I cut the tip again and I replant it hoping to get more pups soon. I did cut the opalina like this before and 6 pups shoot out, I have a vlog on that too last year, I harvested 4 pups and left 2, the 4 pups now are almost the same size as that one in the video😍
Hello Jane👋😍 I mist spray the propagated leaves once every morning tnen once a week I give the a bit of shower to moisten the soil. Here's my other video about my leaf propagation but I advise not to remove the mother leaf because they grow faster than if removed. ua-cam.com/video/VGFQCbgnfx0/v-deo.html

Hola Vic. Esa roseta estaba por florecer del apice, por eso se puso así. La roseta madre se mueren pero da muchos hijos antes. Lo que se puede hacer es cortar la floración para que saque más hijos alrededor del corte.
Thank you Nina🙏🏼😍😍😍 it is fascinating, there are so many babies coming out but what puzzles me is that Echeveria Imbricata is not a monocarpic plant. The Imbricata blooms flowers from the side and not at the middle of the rosette💚🪴

Hello Any🙏🏼😍 Ripsalis Dancing Bones like a partly shaded area in the garden, not full sun and they also loves to be watered more frequent than other succulents
Is there a reason you put the leaves this way on the tray? I thought the cut end had to curve down into and touch the propagation medium? Thanks for your videos. Enjoying them a lot in lockdown in NSW.
I don't leave leave any leaves and I am akways succesfull with all of it, I've been doing this for so many years and they are all succesfully shoot new babies all the time.
Hi! I have an opalina and she just flowered.. im new to this so what should I do? Or are the flowers gonna die soon? I can't find any information online.. also pollination? Should I manually pollinate the flowers?
Hello Lau👋😍 the flowers of Opalina gonna die soon and if you don't like how it looks just cut it and dispose it, flowers of succulent plants take so much energy from the plant so many people just cut and dispose it. It is so hard to polinate and grow succulents from seeds, it's so much easier and quicker to propagate from leaves instead.😍🙏🏼
why did you put the opalina into an empty pot but the other one into one with just coarse mix? Does it make a difference? Im about to chop my opalina but im afraid!
the best time for propagation autum, it wil grow slowly during autum then it will become fully developed during winter and it is already well prepared during hot summer months. Summer is not good for propagation unless you have a uv screen protected area in your garden.
Hello Mr. Villacorta, I love your videos, do you sale succulents? I have a comment about your E. Imbricata, I think the shape it have, is because is going to flowering, but in this case, I think after flowering is going to die, if you look the flowering scape is growing from the center, where usually growth new leaves, what we named growth apex, this is why it have multiple pups, more than usual. To sad, but some times happen, have a nice weekend. ❤🌵
Hello Marisela👋😍 E. Imbricata is not monocarpic plant, it doesn't shoot flower in the middle, they have finished flowerings and it is from the side with tiny stems😘 I think it is giving way to those so manu pups underneath like the E. Pulvinata Ruby Blush that always sheds it leaves whenmany tiny pups are coming from underneath🙏🏼😍
@@VicVillacorta Hello! Thanks to take the time to read and answer my comment, yes you are right, Echeverias aren't monocarpic, but this happens to me unfortunately, why? I don't know, and I really wish don't happen to you, Imbricata's are one of my favorites echeveria's, I hope you give us updates on this, to learn more about it, I love all your succulents, they are so healthy, nice colors & shapes, and I enjoy all yours videos.🤗🙏
Hello Yen👋😍 I never use cinamon or anything, I just let it dry, that's how they are in nature, they don't have cinamon to sprinkle over them🙏🏼 but u can use conamon if u like too😍
Never thought abt that, just followed that cinnamon thing to some succ growers online and some of my succ just seem to die 😭. I love that idea thou 😍. Thank you for sharing 😊
Yeah where are you Vic? I'm not buying anymore succulents and escheverias and the rest. It's too expensive in Wisconsin to watch these plants die. We get 3.5 months of summer. That's just not conducive to these plants and yes I use grow lights but real sun and hot conditions are suitable to these plants. I've lost some nice ones. Can't afford it anymore. 😪

When you say “cool” area… what is the temperature like?
Hello Ashley👋😍cool as in not under the heat of the sun, shaded area but during winter is ok but not below freezing temp.
When is the best time to propagate those 2 plants by their leaves? Is it summer or spring?
the best time for propagation autum, it wil grow slowly during autum then it will become fully developed during winter and it is already well prepared during hot summer months. Summer is not good for propagation unless you have a uv screen protected area in your garden.
