    Looks like a nice welder. Only drawback I saw was the door needs to be wider for my awkward hands to get to the feed wheel. Now I have to go add an over the cart hanger like yours. Great ideas keep coming so I'll keep watching.

      The door is kind of on the small side, other than that it’s been working great.

    Nice welder you got there, Gary. Play with it a little more, and after a while you will enjoy the nice welding of a good welder.
    Aluminum is another story, more practice with that to do, but fun at the end.
    Enjoy the new toy.

    cool new toy/tool for sure. i've seen those ones that are auto adjusting before, and that seems like a real nice feature. not having to add any additional guess work to wire feed/amperage will make things nicer in a lot of ways!

      @VWJawbreaker  2 роки тому

      It was a bit of a learning curve for me but it’s been working great over the last month of welding. I’ve already ran quite a bit of wire through it. For spot welding, I prefer manual mode though.

      @@VWJawbreaker Awesome! Ive got a 50 ft 8/3 extension cord on the way so I can weld anywhere needed on my dump truck.
      122.00 bucks on fleabay I already have 25 feet of 8/3 )_+ now a 6 ft adapter cord. Since I put a 14-50 plug in the wall like my Hobart truck welder provides. Since it came that way we ran the shop Millermatic 250x on those as well with a heavy 8/3 extension cord that we could carry to the field to weld as well and power it with my truck welder. As well the shop had that 14-50.

    Looks like a nice welder, the different gas settings will be handy. I've never had much luck with the automatic settings myself. I like using the 0.6 wire for pannel work and the 0.9 for bigger stuff. I guess your going to have lots of good fun figuring it all out.

      It’s taken a bit to get use to but it’s been welding great over the last month or more. The auto setting seems to work better, for me, when I’m not spot welding. I’m impressed so far with this machine.

    New to welding, and I picked one up a few months back...real nice machine and getting my use out of it. One thing has cropped up, though...seems my Mig gun lead may be faulty. Recently, I've begun to notice if the Mig lead has even the slightest bend or curve, it fails to feed the wire. When it first started happening, I checked all the likely causes (tension, correct roller, etc) and everything was fine. I even cut the wire (I'm using 0.035 wire) and pulled it back through the machine hoping to see if maybe there was a kink somewhere...nothing. When the lead is straight, it feeds wire as it should...but get a slight curve in the lead and the feeding stops. Not sure what else to look at. I contacted Yeswelder, but they requested a video of the problem, but I don't have that capability.

    • @VWJawbreaker
      @VWJawbreaker  2 роки тому

      That’s really odd. I’ve used the crap out of mine without an issue at all… Do you have a phone that you could record a video with or a friend close by that you could use theirs to record a 10 second video and email it off to them? Their customer service is pretty good.

    • @photog1529
      @photog1529 2 роки тому +1

      @@VWJawbreaker Initially, the welder worked flawlessly, so not sure what could be causing the problem. I forgot to add the problem mainly shows up when I go to make a tack weld or run a bead...the moment the wire arcs its stops feeding. I've changed tips, but also didn't notice any problems with the tips that I removed. As I mentioned, I'm new to welding so not sure if I'm missing anything. Luckily, I also have a 205DS, and that doesn't miss a beat so was able to finish a project that I've been working on.

      Try to increase or decrease the wire speed and see if that helps.
      If that doesn’t help, email them a short clip to show them what’s going on.

    I wonder if this Mig 250 Pro, really does have 250 amps Output ?
    I bought a different brand of Chinese welder stick/tig 315 amps. As soon as I took it out of the box I knew it couldn't output that much with 14 gauge input 220 vac. Wires. I tested it with a Fluke DC Clampmeter, with the digital display reading max 315 amps. I ran a 5/32" 6011 and then a 1/8" 7018 rod. Then
    I purposely stuck the rod just to see what maxed out current I could get ! To my dismay, the max current I could get was
    127 amps. !! Even sticking the rod. And I know that this 127 amps reading from the FLUKE Clampmeter is correct because it welds the 1/8" 7018 the same as if it was set at 127 amps.
    Setting the digital display at 200 amps actually gives 78 amps.
    So I DON'T trust any Chinese welder specs. Without testing with a Clampmeter .

    • @VWJawbreaker
      @VWJawbreaker  2 роки тому +1

      That is a great point. I doubt the mig 250 is capable of 250a but I’ve never verified it before. All I know is this…. It works well for what I need it to do, thin sheet metal to 1/4” plate without a hiccup.
