Simply brilliant! Well done and thanks for letting us feast our eyes on it. As a teen I would catch the train from the mining town of Springs to ogle one just like that at Jack’s Motors, the importers in Johannesburg. Later, I got my own 1973 850 version and it had Dunstall rearsets and clipons fitted. It’s still in great shape and part of a collection in said mining town.
What a gem! It reminds me of the (much inferior!) 1972 Roadster I owned in the 1990s. How I wish UK roads 30 years later were not so excessively and plagued with unrepaired potholes (and careless, uninsured, unlicensed drivers in unroadworthy vehicles!). Many thanks for this video and for the first part.
Thank you sir. I'm about to view other videos of yours. By the way, I inadvertently omitted from my message "congested" in "... were not so excessively congested and plagued... ". With best wishes and admiration, Roger .@@LoscarMotorcycles
The mighty Snortin Norton, what a beautiful resto you guys do on your machines. I have to admit a tinge of jealousy though because you show what can be achieved with unlimited funds that a lot of us dont have. Ive had to get by basically on a shoestring budget but have built some pretty awesome machines none the less. You guys have an awesome shop so keep up the great work restoring these timeless beauties!!
Splendid restoration! I had lots of trouble using Hylomar, though. Perhaps I needed to clean better. In Panama they were under $1000 new in 1970-71. I love the right-side shifter!
Damn that is too clean ! But will it go on the street ? I have the same bike only black ! With the big tankthat holds ? Gallons USA ? I forget hows much it holds ! Anyway, I was a a traffic light one day and smelled gasoline (petrol ). I looked down and saw the left carb float bowl hanging by 1 screw. If I shut it down the gasoline would hit the hot pipes and I would burn to death in an instant ! So I rolled it into a field nearby and was trying to figure a way out of this mess! A guy saw me and pulled over. He said "whats up " ? I told him what was happening. He said"reach down and hold up the float bowl and shut her down. No gas will be spilled that way. So I did it ! He then said, "take a screw from another place and put it in the float bowl " ! I forget where the other screw came from, but I found one and did it ! Holy shi - ! It worked ! I turned around and got home safely. Found a spare screw and put it in and lived to tell this here ! Love to ride her but alas she is a garage queen now ! Too many close calls from fools on smart -as phones !
Cmon, there's got to be some sledgehammers flying and cursing in there somewhere.
Beautiful job. This guy is the best.

PS "excessively CONGESTED". Do you still have the "show-stopper"?
Hello Roger, thank you very much for commenting. I'm glad you like it and thank you for watching my videos.
Best wishes, Loscar.

Love the blue! So nice
Not sure why Loscar has the tach on the left as opposed to the right side where the factory installed them? Each to their own.
I know your secret, you have a time machine ..... looks like it hasn't yet left the factory. Beautiful bike
I LİKE THİS COLOUR!
Nicely done.
Now, get it on the roads and let it be
Norton's were an eyecatcher in the 70s
We had a Norton Atlas here in Canada that looked exactly like this Commando
Perfect 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Friend William: Thank you!!!!
What has happened to this channel? I really miss the videos.
Great colour
How did you get the chrome so shinny. I'm trying to buff but it's just not getting it as nice.
That's a Innerstate model, I bought a Roadster in 71 off the showroom floor for $1695.00
Bellísima complimenti 👍
Gracias por ver
Smoooth idle...
need electronic ignition to make the bugger idle unassisted
