While a generic and broken fighter technically, I adore the presentation of this game. All the characters are dead-on in both personality and abilities.
I loved this game so much I kept it with my beast wars collection and have it still today. I gotta say I thought this game was waaaay better than the previous beast wars ps1 game, that one I lost long time ago
Same with Transmetal Rhinox. Only in these cutscenes do we see 'em, which is a damn shame. And the only time in anything outside of comics, manga, and toys do we get to see them.
@@silenc3068 It was too expensive at the time to make new models of the whole cast, as they brought in new characters like Rampage, Silverbolt and Quickstrike.
I really liked the transformation animations from Beast wars such a shame they didn't keep that kind of sequences on the beast machines series. The game doesn't look that bad and I see what they say it's true, the Ps version is superior tot he Nintendo 64 version in term of playability (and obviously graphics) but I think I still prefer the text endings for each character on the Nintendo 64 version.
How different do the PS1 and N64 versions play? I know the Japanese N64 allows you to get much further away from your opponent, thus giving a larger playfield. Are the alternate colours about the same, or are there any at all? How many other ways do they differ?

Surprising how close the game is pretty spot on with the show.
5:14 lol I had temporary dyslexia and read that as "Fuck Silverbolt" (which is a good saying nonetheless).
This is the only time we get to see Waspinator's transmetal form in this

This games weird, it’s the only time we saw the Transmetal forms for a lot of characters outside of their toys because the show just…didn’t use them

I never got a chance to play Transmetals. Voice acting is spot on. Hope they bring out Beast Wars Transmetals Masterpieces.
