No intro, no nonsense, just right to the work. An easy thumbs up from me!
Agreed. I don't want your whole life story.
I wish more videos were like this. Straight to the point, no excessive talking or BS! Great video!
Awesome video , didn't give your life story as most others do, straight to the point
i wish more youtube videos were more to the point like this one.
Straightforward video, thanks. Only thing u neglected to show was how to get the stuck drum off which will likely be the case on most quads.
Sorry about that, glad it was a help. Appreciate the comment!
Hard to show someone how to use a hammer and common sense.
you tap it with your little pecker.
Nice to see a video where the guy isn't talking about himself or the weather for the first 6 minutes
Thanks for the comment and happy trails!
Nice video. I have a feeling if I were to make the same video on my 1987 fourtrax, it would involve a harsh language, small to medium hand injuries, and maybe even some fire to get the nuts off. I would use the same happy music though.
speedy replacement on the rear breaks.
just the video i was looking for.
awsome video !!
1000 thumbs up !
No nonsense, straight to the point!
Drum brakes done quick and easy, nice!
Thanks for the comment!
Nice. Quick video 👍 My reality is, seized axle locking nut, using heat and a hammer to break, axle wheel mount is seized on too, cable wing nuts resisting every turn to back them off an hour later, still working on it. Good luck!
Very informative video but the happy music in in the tutorial should be something much more metal. The rage that filled me when I got to the brake drum was overwhelming. Beating on it with a 5 lb hammer and torching it while soaking it with penetration oil. The spline not giving up and my hands black while mosquitoes are eating me alive. Please let me know if there's a step I missed while trying to take the drum off. It's an 1988 Fourtrax😅
Thanks! You saved me some time and frustration today:) Thanks for telling what size sockets as well. That helped a lot!
Great video please do more on the 2012 Honda rancher
Dirt, did this video a while back.... hope it helps in your project...

my hand and foot brake are all of a sudden loose and won't work. The cables still move, but don't engage brake???
Sorry about the late response, did you try to make any cable adjustments or what was the issue?
where to buy such brake shoes?
If you wanted to would you have been able to pull the whole assembly off?
It will come off, just additional work. Did you get yours back together and remove the assembly?
Question mine are locked up in the rear and the lever where the wing Nuts sit won’t budge at all what do I do?
Sorry about the late response. Were you able to get it off?
What size are those bolts that hold the brake cover on is it 8mm 1.25 cause I'm having trouble finding the right bolt to fit it
8MM is what we had.
Does anyone know what size the 2 big nuts are that hold the drum on mine are severely rusted and I can’t get them with my vice grips I don’t have a crescent wrench that big
41mm
How did you get the nut off so easily
It came off easily on this particular one.... although it's defiantly not always the case. Soak in PB Blaster overnight if your having problems, it helps 99% of the time.
Pretty Dog ;Gone Awesome VID, there, Thank you ...I Now "Like and Subscribe" short and to the Point, just the "Bones" Perfect!!!!
