I used to work with an old guy in construction. Every time he didn't agree with somebody telling him what to do, he would say "Talk into the microphone, I can't can't hear you." What he was really referring to was the trouser snake in his pantaloons.

FYI- In Texas I have seen a lot of activity on 10 meters in the last few days.

I know you made this video 2 years ago. You mentioned in a few years, you'd be legally blind. Your eyeglasses look foggy. You made me realize how much time has gone by. I was testing out a microphone on my computer, but I could not find what mic the PC was using. So I googled it and found you. I watched till the end; I found my mic and I enjoyed your video. I'm going to look for more of them. Thank You Stan!

When conditions suck , you can always try 2 meters.
While often considered to be the band for beginners , there are plenty of opportunities and scope for experimentation for those that want to try.
There are those doing AM on 2m , (and of course SSB and FM) ,, but there's also CW nuts and Digital mode operators.
Even if a person not very effective on that band , it can good for a laugh at least.

I'm using my elmer's IC 726 and he lost the mic for it somehow, so it has a Kenwood MC-42S on it and I have to hit the TX button and then key the mic to TX. Then I have to remember to hit that TX button again to Rcv. lol 73 Stan!

Its seems kind of a shame to deliberately limit your self to CW.
You have a fine voice. I have been learning CW on and off for 49 years now. I can get close to 10 WPM when I practice hard. I know the code 100% but can only copy around 6 WPM consistently. When I was a Tech+ back in the 90s...I was in the military all over the world with my Heath Kit HW-8 in my back pack it was CW only for about 3 years...I made thousands of QSO's but still could not get above 10WPM. If you ever find that MIC I'm sure allot of us would like to say Hi to you. \\ooo ooo\\
