Body Punching Paying Dividends

Canelo invested early on to the body. Canelo probably had a feeling that Jermell Charlo was going to try and keep his distance and at the same time try be on his backfoot so Canelo started investing to the body early on throughout this fight. He threw a good amount of right and left hooks to the body, and some arm punches (like we seen him throw in the past against past opponents) to try and break down Charlo early on. Canelo was able to slow down Charlo and find a home for his power punches. It was also very evident thats where Canelo really threw the most solid punches after the fight was done as well because Charlo’s face looked very clear after the fight.
