Recognised a few faces on the video, we were teds from our early teenage years, never changed our style or music to this day, only one music...ROCK N ROLL its stood the test of time from the 50s till now in 2020, it will last till eternity. God Bless all you Rockers past and present. Rave On
I used to be a Teddy boy in the late 70s when i was a young teenager but got into Rockabilly in the 80s and still play the good old Rock n Roll.Great intresting upload.Long live the Teds
@Pete Testube No Pete i got into American Rockabilly music.I used to wear checked shirts roll up jeans white t shirts and bike boots.Never was into the British late 70s and early 80s Rockabilly style.
@@stevenford727 same here...never understood the 70's Ted look.....was nothing like proper 50's teds.. same with the neo rockabilly scene in late 70's and 80's .... many were almost a new wave Rockabilly ...bit camp imho. i prefered the more vintage Rockabilly style ...... @54 years old and Hair no more......still love the music and style ..
@@oddjobtriumph1635 Same here i was more into the retro 50s style not the odd looking 80s neo Rockabilly or Teddy boy theme attire they wore.I still play mostly Rockabilly and Rock n roll music to this day.
I'm a Teddy Boy and damn proud of it too, I do this 45 years now and not planning to stop, why the hell would I, only bad thing is I lost almost all my hair... that sucks...
Damn that was refreshing 9:-) still wearing it today, you don't see style on the streets nowadays, but it seems ppl love to see it now more than back in the day when it was hassle, it's "ready teddy girl to, rock & roll" -and return right now me thinks - we need to revive it 9;-)
Real ! Love it! Just saw a video claiming it was all 50s but there was a recent Ted picture included. Don't know where some get their info from but this is real. We'll done for putting this together. This is real proper history ! Thank you.
They looked bloody great the guys and the girls I think it’s nice to see them then and now. my parents were into rock n roll back in the 50s by the way I love the stars and bars flag
I wouldnt class a lot of them as even Teddy Boys because we never dressed like that in the fifties (bright drapes, long sideburns almost to the chin, hair almost to the shoulders, thick soled brothel creepers, tattoos, ear-rings etc). I call these types Showaddywaddy Clowns!
yes if you go bald you can pretend that you were a skinhead back in the 70s and get away with it but a chrome dome and a teddy boy suite definitely do not go well together . Great video though, i forgot what the rockabilly chicks looked like back then, they looked great, now the red haired, fat tattooed bodied women have taken over, and they were never a part of the scene back then, it was pony tails and dungarees and pencil skirts and they all looked great, pity the burlesque mob had to get involved.

From the Bobbysox in Willesden to the Squire in Catford...nothing comes close now; the rockin' scene then was the business....
99.9%of these pix are 2nd and 3rd generation Ted's be good to see the original pix of Ted's from the 1950s ,the first real rebels/sub culture.
teds never die

Pity, taking Photos was not really what we did so much back in the fifties.Pity.

At 2:48 are Nadine & Bobo. I have photographed them here in France at St Gorgon (56) ? I am racking my brains trying to identify them ! HELP !!!
Is this a record at 6:30 (Rockin Rebels)? I have absolutely no idea about this release ...
Not all of those are Teddy boys, Some are Greasers/Rockabillies

All of these confederate flag images are disturbing. Is this the symbol of the subculture?
And it still is, no matter what the rest of the world thinks. For us it represents being free to do our own thing. And that's Rock'n'Roll.
Don't see it much these days.
There's always ONE !!!!!
Get a life
Our music comes from the southern states .the flag was part of our identity. Ie rab teds.
