Hey man. GREAT video. You've earned a subscriber. Im in Germany and looking to purchase a guitar. Im thinking orange wood Ava w/o pickups or this one. Both are all solid wood guitars. Any advice or opinion? HB is 200 dollars cheaper. Lol
Hai Jon thx for this review. I have an Harley Benton Custom line king which you also had reviewed. How does this clc 650 sounds in comparison with the Custom line king? Is it sounds warmer or brighter? What is your experience? Thx in advance if you want to answer me 👍
Helló. Ön a HB Site IT is a šírka spruce top guitar byť on your video looks like a mahogany top guitar. I really thinking onna buying of onebof these .
Pretty guitar. Nice review. I have learned to respect the Harley Benton brand more since watching these reviews. They seem to be a good deal for what you get.
Although the specs are impressive and the guitar looks beautiful, I would really like to see how it holds up against a Takamine GN71CE. I believe its a worthwhile comparison since the price range is similar, the shape of the body, etc... I would like to know the differences in quality. Very nice videos by the way, greetings from Greece!
It's on my wishlist since they showed it up. But then you reviewed the Maestro that is in a shop about 60 km from me and it sounds and feels so good. And my better half said, there are five acoustics home and that's enough. Aah, i hope for the Xmas wonder (but I'm not sure which of both) and this is remarkable cheaper.... Thx for your wonderful playing on this beautiful HB. Stay safe ☮️
Excellent review of a beautiful guitar. I particularly loved the way you play. Your fingerstyle playing is a bit different than what I've seen others do, and I was very impressed. Thank you for a great video!
Great looking guitar, the cutaway for your arm is a great idea, acoustic full body guitars make my arms ache. Sounds as good as it looks, but then they all do with you fantastic smooth playing Jonathan. Another for my Christmas wish list.
Nice Guitar, sounds and looks good. Never a fan of super low action on an acoustic guitar though. i think its done to accommodate all these electric guitar players who want to come over to the real side of guitar playing :) I recently purchased the Harley Benton cla 28 ve walnut acoustic guitar. Have to say, its a great guitar. HB do make a nice acoustic. Hats off to them.
Lovely review of a lovely guitar by a lovely guy. I'm trying very hard not to cut down more exotic trees but I must admit I'm very tempted to try one of these.
Nice one Young Jonathon! Only thing that spoils it for me aesthetically, is the pickguard covering the abalone at the bottom half of the sound hole! (Maybe its me just being fussy!!)
Hey Jonathan got a question for you. I like to record my guitar... and i got here the Harley Benton Custom Line CLD-1048SCE NS. But somehow i dont like the sound ... especially with strumming... maybe because the wider neck (48mm)(Got a video on my youtube profile, if you are really interested in it =D). So i have seen your Videos about the Harley Benton Custom Line CLD-41SE WN and the Harley Benton CLD-40SM-CE SolidWood and of course this one here. Which one would you recommend? I mean somehow every Guitar you play sounds awesome. Maybe you could show someday what you are doing to your tracks after the recording. =D I am from Germany so in my Opinion with Harley Benton you get really much for the price, and since i finished University and am now stuck in this coronasituation thats the pricerange i would like to go. Greetings and thanks for your work ^^
Hello Jon,thanks to you I purchased mic T-Bone SCT 800 and it works very very good, I bought it from Thomann for relativ little money (200 e), once more thanke you.Greetings from Croatia.....
So the main difference between this and the CLG is the size/format? Not too familiar with the different formats of acoustic guitar since I've only owned the one. If I want something similar to my Yamaha FGX720SC which one should I get? I'm thinking of replacing it with one of these Harley Bentons since I really would like that cutaway for my arm/elbow, so used to it on my electric guitars and it just makes the playing so much more comfortable! Always enjoy your videos Jonathan so keep it up, so cool that you've also got some recognition by Thomann :)
Very nice looking, very nice sounding - just like you've said ("warm AND bright at the same time", exactly what I too experienced with "all-mahogany" guitars). The only downside is its price, because in the 400-500 $ range there is a strong competition comprising of brand names such Alvarez, Ibanez, Yamaha..., so I don't think this model will be selling like a hot pancakes (which was /is the case with the lower price range HB guitars, up to, say CLA/CLD series). As for the price, the electronics probably makes up to 30% of It, so it would be nice to be able to purchase the version of this model that isn't equipped with the pick-up system while selling for 250-300 $ (anyways, I prefer passive piezo systems over these battery hungry ones, and where I live, a decent copy of K&K's 3-tranducer costs about 10 $).
Been out for about 14 months.... BEEN LOOKING AT THAT LONG!!!!! After your thoughts....I think I'am pulling the trigger.wasn't to sure about the fret board???? Your word is good enough for me .THANKS Jonathan.
Hi Jonathan, what a beautiful piece of music is your Salvation. I like the way you plays it with tons of feeling. About that guitar, it is so beautiful . And tonewise , it is very good in your Salvation piece, may be missing some lows in the other parts of demo, but as you said being all solid we may expect better lows after few year of playing. I never found any acoustic amp that pleases my ears, this one make no exception. Now , the big question is what to choose between this HB and a Maestro: is the better tone worth the price gap ? I may need an all solid mahogany beside my Martin D35 ( christmas coming, haha)
Nice looking and good sounding guitar for what you get the crazy price it looks well worth it for twice the price. I just got my TE-40 back from being in the shop again I had them make some more changes in the electronics deferentially for the better I don't mind making changes when the cost was so low to begin with.
Hi Jonathan! That is a beautiful guitar! If I didn't already have my Cort A8, this would be a great one to add to my collection. Like you say, for a stage guitar, touring, etc...this is great! 🐰❤️🎸🎵🤝✌️
Hello Jonathan! I have been looking at this guitar. The one thing that worried me, is the bridge where the string pegs go. I watched a guitar video about this guitar. Two of the pegs had a tendency to pull up. The explanation was the bridge where the pegs go was thinned out for aesthetics I guess. This changed the angle of the string as it went over the bridge which made it prone to pulling up on the pegs. The worst part is the wood is too thin because of the way the bridge is cut, and the peg hole gets elongated due to string stress. I saw this and am at a loss at how to repair it. I'm going back to HB to see if hopefully they have re designed the bridge. Because I like the guitar. I just want to like it for a long time.
I really needed this beautiful review too. This video made me decide to get this guitar, my second HB. I had to wait two months before I could order because they were out of stock again. My CLC-650SM is beautiful and flawless. Compared to my dreadnought the sound is more subdued, more intimate I guess. It must be the solid mahogany body instead of walnut. There's one drawback. You have to restring the guitar everytime you need to change the battery through the sound-hole. Quite a hassle. Thanks to you I learned that brands like Maestro and Schecter make stunning guitars. I get it that Maestro's are expensive but man look at them.., they are gorgeous. I refuse to pay a ridiculous € 7840,00 for an ordinary 2018 plain Jane Martin guitar.
Just a pro tip for you. You don't have to change strings when you need to access the sound hole. All you have to do is put a capo on the third fret, then you can detune and the strings will stay on the posts. You can then pull out the bride pins and get the strings out of the way. Then put them back and tune back up. It takes not time at all. All you need is a capo.
I think this is the best looking acoustic guitar I have ever seen in my entire life!!!! I'm gonna become a Mason because I'm sh####g bricks right now..wow!..fan freaking tastic guitar playing!!
It would look even better with that plastic pick guard removed. It covers up the natural wood and the abalone rosette. I'm getting this guitar next month and that's the first thing I'll do!
Hi jonathon. love the Chanel. You have me hooked on Harley Benton however the Artists electric guitars look very impressive as well. I was planning to get the Harley Benton Custom Line CLD 41SE WN until I watched this review... and now I have a conundrum and its all your fault ..lol jus kidding. But I would like to know which you really like the best. the clc is very impressive but I love the dreadnought also. Your such a master musician and your true opinion on this will help me decide. Great work as always, Jonathan! Being from Germany, I also LOve Thomann Stuff. But isn´t it crazy? they produce guitars in China, Woods coming from all over Africa and Soithamerica... from China Factory, they ship it around the globe to Thomann, Bavaria, Germany, THEN ship it BACK to Singapore? Come on...
Best reviews and jams ever! Your original pieces are stellar and so beautifully played. How big of a difference from this to the Yamaha Red series?? I’d assume Yamaha is probably crazy insane by comparison but just curious what your take would be on this vs. Yamaha Red
I bought this guitar a couple of years ago because of the "look", it's beautiful! Acoustically it plays and sounds great to me. That is also what i bought it for, not electric. I found the electronics to be wanting, i could never get good electric sound. I also could never find a battery compartment. So i hope the battery never dies. But all that said, i love this guitar. It's one of my favorites in my collection. Thanks for your review.
Hi Jon, always great videos! What is the difference between CLC and CLG and which one is better, I’m possibly buying one of those two in a week or so! It’s insane how those guitars sound for that price!
@@JonIsJustTooLoud what do you think which one is better and which one should I buy? Haven’t had the chance to try them in person that’s why I’m asking! Looking forward to your reply and advice!
I have just had a look on Thomanns website, and got a shock with the price, £395 GBP is a lot for an Harley Benton, i know it would cost double that with a well know brand on the headstock, but i would be reluctant to spend this amount with the risk you take with quality issues.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I don't think Thomann would accept my custom again, i rejected 3 CST24T guitars for various issues, the first one had sctaches on the front and back, the second arrived with a damaged neck, at least they admitted poor packing was the cause, but then sent me a third one with holes in the fretboard inlay's, they only offered a refund in the end.
Hi, that guitar is sure a symbol of pulchritude. Never really liked HB guitars cause they are always mixing composites but this is beauty by every ounce. You made the guitar glow in your hands and give her voice soooo sweetly. What a wonder!
Love your reviews and playing. I have a question about Harley Benton guitars: do you ever have to set them up when you receive them? You mentioned that this one came well set-up, but have any of the electric guitars you review from them well set up?
Hello Jonathan, nice review! Can you tell what is the difference between the CLG models and CLC models from harley benton, and which one do you like from these two models thanks
Hey I'm very new to guitar started 2 months ago alone and know just the basics with a few songs , I really want this ( the CLG) version , I've searched the internet and it seems there is no match to this quality at the price it has ( will cost me 500 € after tax in my country on it and delivery) , I like the looks and everything but do you think there is a competitor at the same price level? All solid guitar?
Welcome to the channel!! And thank you for your comments...The only one that comes close is probably the Takamines...Best to check and compare the specs ✌❤
@@JonIsJustTooLoud tnx for the advice , I did, still Harley benton is better , I've ordered it and I'm so excited (the CLG version) ,Ty so much helping me decide , I'm waiting for upcoming vids of yours♥️🤘🏽

Love your reviews and playing. I have a question about Harley Benton guitars: do you ever have to set them up when you receive them? You mentioned that this one came well set-up, but have any of the electric guitars you review from them well set up?
Most of the time..But sometimes because of weather differences..certain things have to be rectified..nothing major so far✌🤓
your playing sound so lovely in this video man...thanks for theses videos brother. God bless!
Thank you ..God Bless you too brother✌❤
What a fantastic instrument.. hope they design little bit smaller head stuck on this one
well...i kinda like the headstock's size...✌♥
Hello Jonathan, nice review! Can you tell what is the difference between the CLG models and CLC models from harley benton, and which one do you like from these two models thanks
Different sizes!!✌♥

Awesome brother Jon, what a lovely sound!

Tell me about it✌♥
Hey I'm very new to guitar started 2 months ago alone and know just the basics with a few songs , I really want this ( the CLG) version , I've searched the internet and it seems there is no match to this quality at the price it has ( will cost me 500 € after tax in my country on it and delivery) , I like the looks and everything but do you think there is a competitor at the same price level? All solid guitar?
Btw I loved your video just finished watching you seem like a great guy I'm definitely subscribing ty for the vid
Did you end up putting the LR baggs on this guitar in the end? What does it sound like with one of those?
No I did not ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud thanks Jonathan. Was the Fishman system good enough, or you have not got around at upgrading to LR bags? are you also gigging with this guitar? or which ac. guitar do you currently use / recommend for gigs?
@@laurapiovan I think the fishman is good enough ✌️ guitar is not with me anymore ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud thanks Jonathan . Appreciate you taking the time to reply
Has a bit of a lighter sound to it. I wonder if those are extra light 11 strings?
They are 12s...i might change to 13s✌♥
Beautiful looking guitar Johnny, may you have many magic and beautiful moments with it brother 👌
Thank you brother!!✌❤
