I understand the frustration of missing tags, but it really feels like he is the start of a new team and CG really doesn't want him stolen. He doesn't benefit DTMG in an incredible way, I feel like his abilities will be greatly utilized in a future release like Baylan or a GL Thrawn.
You are 100% right. But it is annoying from a lore and theorycrafting aspect.

I think the reason the Night Trooper doesn’t have the Empire tag is because their loyalty doesn’t actually lie with the empire, it lies with the Mothers of Peridea (the three nightsisters) and to Thrawn, and while Thrawn does serve the Empire, the Night troopers on their own, do not.
Also, the empire has been defeated at this point of the series, so it makes sense for the zombie troopers to not be aligned with them, since they're zombies on another planet in another time period

I hope we’re able to get Night trooper shards from light/dark side, cantina or fleet battles soon because I’ve started to grind for Dark Trooper Gideon so I can make a good Imperial Remnant team
They really need to tweak OG Moff Gideon’s kit to be more Imperial Remnant focused.
Moff Gideon has been my go-to lead since day 1. Then they released Scout Trooper. Then they released DTMG, who I recently unlocked. And now this.
My loyalty to the Imperial Remnant is being rewarded! Long live the Empire!
Am I the only one exhausted from this garbage? Every new character seems like it has to have some sort of busted interaction. I know "normal" characters don't make boatloads of money, but come on dude, the power creep is getting out of hand.
I'm not preparing Night Trooper for GL Ahsoka or even Gideon, I'm preparing NT for the second team of Night Sisters.
Is it not better to give him a offense primary cross because he gets 35% potency from unique and 75% from the cron, so nearly 200% ?
Or better potency cause he gets so much stacking offense? 😅
I still don't really like it that a character only feels ok until the omicron.
It's even worse with the new exclusive Datacrons.

There are way too many characters that are only good with omicron for their respective game mode. Malicos, Starkiller are big examples. They suck outside of GA

Just to let you know darth talon omicron description has been updated. It’s not vague anymore. They may have updated the omicron itself.
New Thrawn will be Conquest character.
I think you're glossing over one of the omicron parts in that he becomes immune to turn meter reduction. He is going to give himself blight, if he can't have his turn meter reduced he can't take the true damage from blight. And if you are running regular gideon then his ability will mean the night trooper will basically always go next.
Love your content Ahnald, and appreciate your continued dedication to the game. Makes me sad that we all get the feeling that SWGoH has peaked, and now the game is in its inevitable long, slow delicate. I've invested thousands of hours into the this game over the past decade (and a couple thousand dollars as well), so hope it doesn't die for at least several more years.
I think thrawn is the next DS GL. If so, they will update tags. Don’t want to spoil it early.
Since Ahsoka is a GL, I have a feeling thrawn is going to be a counterpart GL, with the cadence of JMK to LV. Thrawn is the bigger character anyways. My only reservation is nighttrooper being a req for GL ahsoka means he won’t be for thrawn, which is definitely weird as you’d expect a lot of imp remnants to be required.

They’re serving the Empire still. Thrawn is the heir to the Empire. Just like how Gideon is a remnant and still Empire.

There is way too much power creeping with new characters. Core teams kind of aren't good anymore.
Makes sense though. Sell lsb's to new players. Hyperdrive bundle and other stuff. Milk it to death with constant new content.

I'm afraid CG is more and more moving to a model where you either whale hard or give up on getting anywhere in this game at all... I'm noticing it more and more that newcomers drop out once they start hitting the grindwalls on getting newer characters either to 7 starts or, if they hang around a bit longer, to Gear XIII... Grinding is one thing but having to get HUNDREDS of shards or pieces of equipment at 1 or less per day requires a special kind of masochism to keep you going...
If SWGOH is lore accurate, GL Ahsoka should better kick Zarry’s a$$ !!!
