I read your book and am compelled to comment on it, specifically your claim to have a secret. And you do, the best secret, one that no one is considering is your setting up both you and your spouse in the same hunt. Your mind has to work extra hard figuring this out for sure! She's the best thing that ever happened to you.

    Can you explain “tight” ridges?
    Thanks for sharing your time!

Thanks for watching! Steeper ridges close to another ridge.

Hey really been enjoying your videos! I wanted to ask you a question on distance that you usually travel from road, or dirt road systems, in the interior of the wma's that you hunt. Not many people really explain that very much in detail. I've been applying some of your tips, where I hunt in the south wma's. Some will say, they go back for miles in. Well that can mean different ways. You don't know which they are meaning....such as drive down an acess road deep in the wma, and then pull off of the road, and walk in a mile. Or park at a gate, and walk down a road behind wma gate, for a mile, and then walking off to the side a couple hundred yards in the woods. Because I've hunted some wma's, and if you just pull off to the side of the road, and start walking in, I mean a Literal mile up down bluffs, and high steep hills with deadfalls.... you better be in athletic shape! I will say for me at least. But when I usually pull off of the road side, and go in with no trail or road behind gate, I usually go no more in than, 400 to 600 hundred yards. And I find some places that is 100 yards off the road where it is really thick and nasty. And I have seen on wma's right off the main highway where there is not much parking there, because I dont think many are hunting them places that much off of the main highway coming through forest, where there is not much parking. What is your experience on forest highways? Do you see many parked awkward off of the main highway on wma, without a place there is a gate. Thanks for any Help!

Thanks for watching and your support! Most of it is situational as far as the walk. You have to be where a big Buck is or is going to be . So cover, pressure and doe groups location is key. So that being said, I have taken some pretty close to roads, paved and or gravel. I have also taken some over a mile hike from any road. I have parked in weird spots to get to places, parked and walked a half mile down or beside road to access a place. I have dropped Kathy off and drove to different place or had her drop me off. You make the best of it , that’s why we start working, scouting and pre planning now. Try to be ready for weird or difficult access if needed. Thanks again!
