it is a shame that the concrete foundation is not discussed as an aspect of embodied energy and cost. Rubble trench foundations on a large scale would be an interesting addition to the study and promotion of earthen buildings.

Rammed earth is great and looks nice too. Why not poured earth? It's easier. And CO2 isn't bad, plants breath it and there is no correlation between CO2 and global warming. Just saying, but look it up yourself (not trolling). Nice video. I like the idea of using thicker walls when the material is in abundance and needs to be gotten rid of anyway (mentioned at around 14.5 minutes in).
