. I do admire the work you're doing for the community especially us younger folk . I aspire to do the work you do and help others for the passion of it. Thank you for giving me a dream in life. Lets save these classic cars .
Im in my mid 20s and I purchased my first classic Mercedes (W126 280SE). I have found all your videos to be an inspiring source of information that has motivated me to tackle as much of the repair work and servicing myself. It’s been very interesting to understand how the Bosch CIS system works. I’ll have to overhaul my system soon I think, so these videos have been very helpful indeed. Many thanks for all the information you provide us with
I loved Bosch CIS on my VW Scirocco, so simple. Its a shame nobody really services it anymore. It gets a bad rap but it worked quite well in my experience.
Hi Kent, can't find a vid to post this question about K-Jet., & you're the only guy who would know! First, why do some K-jet metering-vane bodies have the bar across the top attached with 2 screws, & some do not have this bar? Seems like this large bar is an an airflow restriction. Also, have you ever seen this on other K-Jet throttle bodies....? The Delorean has 2 springs attached to each of the butterflies, again obstructing airflow. They don't seem to do anything, & I read of a mod on TurboBricks Volvo Forums, to remove it & solder the holes closed on each butterfly that held the springs. Do you know the purpose of these springs attached onto each butterfly? Thanks, Chris Florida
Cannot thank you enough for this series of videos on the the K-Jet operation and repair.
