    I think this and the teapot would make a great cake for a vintage afternoon tea themed party.

    Love this so much! My granddaughters 2nd birthday party is in a few weeks and this cup (my version) will be on top of her cake! Her name is Ivy so I plan to incorporate ivy leaves and vine on the teacup. So excited! Thank you!!

    I love these you explained it so well I have many of those little teacups that belonged to my mother before she passed they ate so pretty and dainty I sure will try your method. I have different sizes in my cups would I be better to start big or small size.as I guess the smaller would be more fiddly.. Thank you amazing work wonderful talent

    Gorgeous. Can't wait to try. I use white chocolate melts as glue. I find it binds right away.

    I really enjoyed your video. I was not sure what you were suggesting to use if the water was not sticking the two surfaces together. I tried slowing the video down and then put on the captions. The closed captions say to use timeless powder. After checking some of the other comments, I realized that you had said Tylose Powder. The closed captions can be rather funny to read sometimes. Thank-you again for the great video. Mother's day is coming up.

      Thanks! Yes sorry about that it was tylose powder. The closed captions can be really confusing!!

    is this waterproof or is there a certain time limit that it won't sag, collapse, or fall apart once you put any liquid either cold or hot.

      ***** Thanks!! I had a really hard time originally figuring it out. I looked all over the internet. There wasn't much about how to do it. I found a rainbow shaped template, then made my own and figured the rest out. Thanks for watching!

    Did you attach the saucer to the cup? Or is it free standing on the saucer?

    • @TheIcingArtist
      @TheIcingArtist  8 років тому

      It's been a while since I made that but I don't think I attached it. It was freestanding.

    This must be the dumbest question you may have. But how can u harden your fondant n for how long?
    I tried gumpaste with fondant but it doesnt help.
    Thanks

    • @angelamiller-newell2492
      @angelamiller-newell2492 5 років тому

      Gumpaste dries hard on it's own (the thicker it is the longer it takes.) If you want to make fondant harden, use tylose powder in it. It will then dry also. Pastillage is another one that dries hard (faster) but because it dries so fast you have to work quick. Good luck!
