Definitely agree that they should remake or reissue/update this! You don't see many compact multi-tools with an adjustable wrench function (even though it's limited) still think it offers a lot for its size with the knife & bit driver. Would totally pick one up for around $19!!!
I am surprised to hear the prices these are fetching now but for collectible multitools which are discontinued and therefore very rare the prices go above and beyond their material value. Surprised because I remember seeing these in stock from a very popular UK supplier of knives, multitools and other outdoor/bushcraft gear, Heinnie Haynes, as recently as a year ago for about £20, but they're no longer available anywhere here. I'd looked at it when choosing a light duty multitool for my bike repair kit, but instead I'd opted for the SOG Micro Toolclip.
I remember when those came out, and while I thought they were a little novelty or gimmicky, I couldn’t see myself using it. I did think they could’ve had a use in a backpack or kit, as a backup. I never once thought they’d get pricey on the aftermarket as a collectible. 🤷🏻♂️
Go for it! The flashlight and bit holder is what really seems to make it valuable. Can't guarantee you'll got $100 but that's what some sellers are asking.
@@hvacbudget8600 I have the lil guppie in silver and I prefer it over the guppie. The Philips and flathead are built in with an even smaller form factor
Yours is odd, nearly polished, and the writing on the side is very different. The Guppie I have has the US patent numbers on the side, and a different font for CRKT.
This channel is an awesome source for unusual tools worth discovering!
Thanks for watching!
I've had this for a few years ago, and I love this tool, awesome design 😀

Есть этот тул, лет тринадцать, только с фонариком! Потом купил leatherman wave и Surge , и забыл crkt. Спасибо что напомнили! Поищу, и пущу в работу.

I didn't realize they were still sold that recently. The SOG micro tool clip is a pretty good option though.
I had one mini-wrench multitool about that size, used every tool but the adjustable wrench, not even once.
I think for many that would be the case. I wonder if another tool could have been more useful.

It is odd how things get valuable. Both the Gerber Octane and the Leatherman Leap were sold as tools under $50. Now they sell for $100 or over.
I think it would be very handy for cyclists. Good stuff mate 👍
Good point!
I have the all black with the flashlight bit holder. I think I’m going to be putting it up on eBay if the prices are that high

@@ryanlavallee6342 Sounds nice!
Will this guppie catch larger fish, lol! Multitool humor sir, haha!
Lol! It does look like a fish which sort of makes it harder to take seriously.

Maybe mine is a prototype, or a factory second.
I had one, such a cheap piece of crap I returned it.
There definitely are much better multi tools out there.
