One question to this one. If you compare it to a nord lead 2x, is it a lot different? Or would it be a bit redundant, using both?

Nord A1/4 is more full sounding with more modern features. It sounds great.
The Nord 1/2/2X have that classic Nord sound-which is more on the thin side but amazing top end. Cuts through any mix. Compliments any warm analog (Juno’s, etc...). Also, the filter is awesome. I have the Nord Lead 2X and A1 - will never sell them. Great synths!!!!

i´m about tu buy my first Nord Rack... I´m not sure which one to buy between the Lead 4 and the A1. What would you recommend for a synthesis beginner? I want very alien sounds and textures out of this world.

+Sebastian Ochoa I bought the A1 because I felt it sounded warmer than the A4, it is also friendly in that it can mutate sounds you bring up to create new sounds and also to create new sounds totally. Then you can press the like button to save 50 snapshots of your likes which you can later save. The A4 is more expensive, it's deeper in some ways but also more complex for a beginner then. And then the thing with the sound, just listen yourself but most people do agree somehow and wonder why the A1 sound a bit warmer and better than the A4.
Check out the demos on youtube that is called "Nord Lead A1 | part 1 access all styles" there are 4 parts, it has some really nice sounds. His videos made me buy the synth combined with this video here.

+MessiahGaming1080p the A1 sounds EXACTLY like the NL4. (as far as the filters, oscillators, vca). Both have different synth features though (eg the A1 has ringmod). Any other conclusion should be accounted for setting the two different.
