This is an interesting presentation to me as a member of the Baha'i Community. The Adventist theme of The Great Controversy is fascinating. It satisfies those who, like me, see the purpose of religion as that of relieving human suffering. This Adventist teaching suggests that relieving human suffering is possible if we understand its deeper cause. That cause is pride or desire to exalt oneself as symbolized by the image of Lucifer waging war against Christ (the essence of humility). That a struggle exists between the forces of light & of darkness is a great insight. Thanks to the illumination of Ellen White & the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Thank you. This is a message of hope for all the believers of the True God who trust in Him to renew their intelligence. The enemies of God are actively working right now, but it doesn't matter because we have already won though Jesus.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
    Romans 6:5
to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Be sure to tell your class mates that SDA'S believe in abortion and actually practice it too . The SDA hospital in Loma Linda CA perform abortions for any reason . What about the commandment thou shall not kill' ? In Jeremiah , God said I knew you when I formed you in the womb . God created those babies and SDA doctors and nurses kill them for money . This is the only religious group that does this . Very strange coming from a people that claim to obey the 10 commandments ! ! Hypocrite's!

The following excerpts are from a concerned Adventist pastor:
After mass distribution of The Great Controversy in Canada some years ago, the Church Ministries Director of the Quebec SDA Conference received a call from the police commissioner of Montreal.
“We have received numerous complaints about a book entitled The Great Controversy that is being placed in letter boxes in a “wealthy section” of the city. After some research we have identified your Church as the publisher and distributor. *A quick perusal has clearly shown that the book is very anti the Catholic Church and thus falls in the category of ‘Hate Literature’ because its content can easily create hatred between communities”* . Then he quoted from an article of law that prohibited such an action and mentioned the heavy fine that went along for distributing material attacking another church.
Today, any publication that dares to use a similar approach is quickly vilified as hate literature. We condemn similar anti-Catholic language used by white supremacists in their rallies, should we be careful not to be perceived as doing the same?
[M]any scholars and well-informed church members consider somewhat outmoded some prophetic interpretations and beliefs that are presented in the book. Three cases in point are (1) the signs in the sun, moon, and stars dating back some two hundred years are not considered to be indicative of the nearness of the Parousia; (2) the understanding of the investigative judgment; (3) That it is Satan and not God that pours the seven bowls (Revelation 18) over the wicked. The people who might choose to read the book will probably be the kind of readers that will question some of the theological material and, finding it wanting, reject the book altogether."
-Pastor Eddy Johnson is the director of ADRA Blacktown and pastors two churches in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia. spectrummagazine 08/26/2011

    EL'EMENT, noun [Latin elementus.]
    1. The first or constituent principle or minutest part or any thing; as the elements of earth, water, salt, or wood; the elements of the world; the elements of animal or vegetable bodies. So letters are called the elements of language.
    2. An ingredient; a constituent part of any composition.
    3. In a chimical sense, an atom; the minutest particle of a substance; that which cannot be divided by chimical analysis, and therefore considered as a simple substance, as oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc.
An element is strictly the last result of chimical analysis; that which cannot be decomposed by any means now employed.
An atom is the last result of mechanical division; that which cannot be any farther divided, without decomposition; hence there may be both elementary and compound atoms.
    4. In the plural, the first rules or principles of an art or science; rudiments; as the elements of geometry; the elements of music; the elements of painting; the elements of a theory.
    5. In popular language, fire, air, earth and water, are called the four elements, as formerly it was supposed that these are simple bodies, of which the world is composed. Later discoveries prove air, earth and water to be compound bodies, and fire to be only the extrication of light and heat during combustion.
    6. element in the singular, is sometimes used for the air.
    7. The substance which forms the natural or most suitable habitation of an animal. Water is the proper element of fishes; air, of man. Hence,
    8. The proper state or sphere of any thing; the state of things suited to one's temper or habits. Faction is the element of a demagogue.
    9. The matter or substances which compose the world.
The elements shall melt with fervent heat. 2 Peter 3:10.
    10. The outline or sketch; as the elements of a plan.
    11. Moving cause or principle; that which excites action.
    Passions, the elements of life.
EL'EMENT, verb transitive To compound of elements or first principles.

Can we trust all Bible Versions or is there one Bible that remains undefiled?

    • @stephen6578
      @stephen6578 2 роки тому

Hmmm tough question. The truth is when a language is being translated there are things that will be missing out because languages are created when people express or communicate the same thing which will depend on culture what people havr experienced... So it wouldn't be 100 percent accurate. The original language is what you can say is undefiled really. But at the same time readjng multiple translations can give you an idea which the original language can't unless you learn the original language itself...
Basically the answer is not always but mostly yes.

    • @AdventistOrgChurch

Hi, Spunky! Concerning your Bible question, as long as our understanding of the biblical world changes, and as long as the language continues to be dynamic, we cannot expect a final or exclusive translation of the Scriptures. The King James Version is one among many translations of God's Word through which the Lord unfolds His love and purpose for a lost world. The English versions stand alongside hundreds of translations of the Bible into other languages through which God shares His message with humanity. Ultimately, the desire to hear God speak to us is far more important than debates about which particular English version of the Bible we should use.

@@AdventistOrgChurch Thank you kindly for responding to my question. I have been told that various translations have omitted or changed words or passages. Would you be kind enough to speak to the validity of “errors” or in some way changed meaning?

“When the early church became corrupted by departing from the simplicity of the gospel and accepting heathen rites and customs, she lost the Spirit and power of God; and in order to control the consciences of the people, she sought the support of the secular power. The result was the papacy, a church that controlled the power of the state and employed it to further her own ends, especially for the punishment of “heresy.” In order for the United States to form an image of the beast, the religious power must so control the civil government that the authority of the state will also be employed by the church to accomplish her own ends” - Ellen G White (The Great Controversy, p443.2)
Elder Wilson, just asking the people to read the book “The Great Controversy” is of no use, because hardly any would go and read it. Instead, you could mention such important revelations, just like the passage that I have quoted above as to what role Protestant America would be playing in the final act of the Great Controversy. If you do that more number of people would be intrigued to read the book, “The Great Controversy”
Additionally, can you please share the link or material where you have given a detailed sermon about the “three angels messages”?
