Even with the conversion of AUD to USD, that still makes it $75 USD for the base. :/ Hopefully it comes down a bit if you're interested in playing the game.
@@pentagram4745 yeah but it s 8 years old. Thus my point. If you expect civ 7 to go -95% anytime soon, it will be because it s in the "bargain bin" because it didn t do well...
A great vid TY, I feel like I already have one foot in the door to the store to buy the new version. I might just be tempted to dip my toe back in the Civilisation pool again! 🤟
I'm going to wait until Civ VIII is coming out and Civ VII and all the DLC will be on deep discount. Probably pay $20. Until then I'll continue to play Civ VI which I got on a deep discount.
@@geoDB.Denuvo usually gets cracked in the first few weeks. It's actually wild that companies keep forcing garbage bloatware on legitimate consumers when it doesn't even do its job well in the first place
I went with founder’s and I’ll be honest it felt just straight up bad spending that amount of money on a game. I know I’ll get hundreds of hours out of it and I know I will eventually have all packs, scenarios and expansions so I justified it in my brain like I’d spend the money eventually anyways but it’s just a prt of the AAA gaming market that makes me angry. Take me back to $60 releases please I miss it. The moment I saw games coming out at $70 J knew this was a sign of tines to come.
@KDoodleNoodle99 Great to hear your thoughts. I also went for the founders, I know it'll be 1000+ hours. And whilst I actually don't mind spending a bit more to support them, for me it felt pretty rough to not at least get the information of what we were purchasing. Just vague "DLC 1 and 2" even the leader persona's weren't told ahead of time.
Thanks. I've been leaning towards base game only preorder (to get Tecumseh, as I have studied him some). Hearing you say it may have sealed it for me. Would be nice to have early access, but it's only 5 days.
As someone with no experience in the field of these games and their genre, if I were to start playing off the bat, these are very solid guidelines to adhere to. Very easy to follow guide, quite well balanced when distributing your knowledge in general (since I now have some sort of idea of what to expect from the game should I ever decide to give it a go!) and overall a very nice flow throughout the video that makes it easy for me to give a 5 star review ^.^
Have already pre-ordered the Founder's Edition. Since this is a Civ game (my primary gaming fandom), I already know I'll be getting all the DLCs, so why not pay slightly less now for those now--plus get the juicy, juicy 5 day head start? For me, it's a no-brainer. But yes, there are a great many other flavors of civ fans out there, and the base game (or even waiting for the base game and DLCs on deep discount a few years down the road) may well be the right option for them. Respect to all Civ fans :)
Bought the Deluxe Edition. The 5 days early access with DLC coming in March seems very reasonable. But Founders Edition is basically asking you to wait till September for more content, and what if a sale occurs before then? So no thanks for now!
100% understand this, and for me I wouldn't have had too much of a problem with price, but gating Great Britain behind a paywall was insane. (To me personally.)

@pokemontrainermike1 thanks mate!
Thank you so much for your knowledge and advice about Civ 7 Brad. Am really looking forward to more postings by you
My pleasure!
30 dollars extra for playing the game on the actual release date and not the delayed one is insanely unacceptable to me.
I personally hate this practice too.
@@MultiBradx Yeah not to mention they are releasing DLC within a month of release. So they purposely kept it out of the base game.
Super Informative, Great video. thank you for taking the time, really looking forward to the release!
