I actually like those 5 stars, I don’t know why 😊. Bracelet was not covered enough in the review, does it have quick release? Does it have on a fly adjustable clasp?
Quick release, yes. On the fly clasp, no. I have the 42mm in blue. You will find the perfect fit with the 5 micro adjust spots. There will be a Cinderella spot that's just loose/tight enough for wrist swelling/shrinking. While I do think it should have the on the fly clasp, I don't think it's a deal breaker. Bracelets have done just fine for decades before it came around. Edit: My biggest point of contention is the end links not being flush with the case. This can be seen in the macro shots. Also, on mine, the crown logo is crooked when tightened down. It's a $3k+ watch. My Erebus Ascent has better tolerances, and it costs $500.
@@3silver702 much appreciated my friend. Ooo you have no idea about wrist swelling during summer time, hot and humid time. It swells up to 1/4” sometime even a bit more, then it shrinks at night time. It is a nightmare wearing a metal bracelet for me in the summer. On a fly adjustable clasp is what makes it possible, or just wear the watch loose 😊
I Realllllly hated the bracelet. I found the edges incredibly sharp/never got the right fit with it. I also have the 42mm in blue. Considered selling it for a time but swapped the bracelet for a shark mesh and I'm back in love. BUT, I really like this titanium version, very torn.
I got the steel version of this watch with the green bezel and anthracite dial and love it. I like the five stars because they are symmetrical to the Longines logo and match the gold colour on the hands and numerals. I wanted a GMT, since it was a style missing in my collection. I also didn't want a GMT that had a Pepsi bezel, Coke bezel, or anything similar; nor did I want a GMT that was a dive watch, since I have multiple dive watches. The Longines 39mm Zulu Time looks sporty on the bracelet and looks dressy on a leather strap, so it fits more situations without being massively thick. 39mm is perfect for my 6.5" wrist. Longines is doing great making watches that are stylish, wearable, and suitable for about anyone.
Thank you 😊, as this is my Watch of the Year 2024. I’m still baffled at the weightlessness of this watch. As one reviewer said, the Omega Ultralight at over $50,000 feels this light.
This watch quickly shot to the top three watches I’d consider next. Only thing that might bump it would be a steel version with the same colorway, but without the gilt. Otherwise the anthracite dial and red GMT hand and text are absolutely perfect.
I have a Japan-only Citizen Promaster that's made of their exclusive titanium alloy - mentioning this because it is by far the most durable titanium watch I have ever owned. I have worn it almost daily for 2 years and it has not a single scratch or mar. Contrast that to Breitling's Aerospace line with titanium that quickly gains a multi-marred patina. Perhaps some people like that. I wonder what Titanium alloy Longines uses in this piece?
Great job Teddy and team! Agree the five stars are distracting. Would like to read what others think about this watch compared to Tudor's new GMT released at Watches & Wonders. As usual, thank you Teddy and team for another superb presentation. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
No micro adjust and the lugs look disproportionately long to me. If they did a Hydro Conquest GMT in Titanium, yes. Too late now though, I bought Tudors FXD GMT instead.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I own this beautiful piece, biggest gripe is the date doesn’t sit centered in the window. Many have pointed this out, I expect a lot better in a 4K+ watch. Also no on the fly adjustment is a bummer because the rest of the bracelet is magnificent (aside from the unusually large male end links). The subtle polish on the outer edge of the links is so beautiful. Blue lume is also fun.
I just can’t get into titanium Watches. I need my watches to have some substance and weight. I know it sounds silly It is a nice looking watch, however
Ehhhh, $1000 is lot to ask just to have it in titanium (and not even Grade 5 at that) instead of steel, and you can't even get it in other colors, just black. If it were available in blue or green, then maybe I would buy it, but as is: no.
Some constructive criticism ,relax slow down just a tad find your natural rhythm and pace say less ,mean more ,your trying too hard to jam in too much information .
Hey Teddy, you were speaking kinda faster than usual on your intro for this video before Blake's review. Felt like you were in such a hurry. Not really a big deal but just noticed it!
How to narrate your videos like Teddy: 1- Before “jumping in” promote your website. 2- Lets jump in! Use silly words like pedigree, ethos, plethora, resonate, persona, compelling, ballpark and across the board every now and then. 3- Butcher non-English names like Glashütte, Tsuyosa, Ulm. That’s it! You’re now a Baldass are you not?
Steel vs titanium. I did end up choosing the Tudor over the Longines but I don't think this is all that overpriced if you value the material difference
This really didn’t work for me, I came here for you. I watch Blake on different channels including his own. If you want to do this in future can you change the thumbnail to be honest about what we are going to see otherwise it just feels misleading. Ps, this watch is so disappointing after the hokinkee release.
How can you hate on Blake? You hate on Danny Milton too? Both these guys are legends and have always done an excellent job on videos and narration when previously with Hodinkee (Both Danny & Blake), Worn & Wound (Blake), and Blake's current project The Deep Track.

I'm with you! I really like the stars.

I have the 42mm steel. Just a wonderful watch. Longines is so much value for the money.
I have the 42mm Zulu Time…love it (7.25” wrist). The finish and detail are amazing. The five stars have never bothered me. Excellent watch.
This is on my short list to buy.
I never gave the stars on the dial a second thought. They provide balance for the Longines logo on top.
Get it now!
I love the stars
First Danny Milton, now Blake Buettner! Love all the collabs with enthusiast fan favorites now in the Teddy B organization!
The collaboration was perfect for this piece. Great job all!

This just won the "Best Watch of the Year" by the prestigious Portuguese Comité de Desviantes Comedores De Tartes
Such an awesome watch, Longines keeps killing it atm!
I like the Hodinkee myself, for the removal of said polarising feature.
Nice colab btw.
Thank you 😊, as this is my Watch of the Year 2024. I’m still baffled at the weightlessness of this watch. As one reviewer said, the Omega Ultralight at over $50,000 feels this light.
I added a Longines Master dress watch to my collection. Terrific watch, very underrated.
This watch quickly shot to the top three watches I’d consider next. Only thing that might bump it would be a steel version with the same colorway, but without the gilt. Otherwise the anthracite dial and red GMT hand and text are absolutely perfect.
Nice watch but prefer Teddy's reviews anyday of the week!

I'm sorry, but I like the steel version so much better. The titanium version looks like they stopped halfway through the finishing process.
I have enuff watches but no GMT, but if I had to pick one, I'd go for this one rather than Rolex or Tudor. The case looks my 165.014 from 1966.
Great job Teddy and team! Agree the five stars are distracting. Would like to read what others think about this watch compared to Tudor's new GMT released at Watches & Wonders. As usual, thank you Teddy and team for another superb presentation. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Zulu Time my beloved
To many good watches and so little money
Let me know when it comes in a 42, thanks.
Not all watches in the spirit collection have 5 stars. The Hodinkee Zulutime excludes them, thankfully.
No micro adjust and the lugs look disproportionately long to me.
If they did a Hydro Conquest GMT in Titanium, yes.
Too late now though, I bought Tudors FXD GMT instead.
How do you like the fxd gmt? I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to try on. The goal is to buy either this spirit gmt or the fxd gmt
@Kevin-dq3ud tried answering twice here and both times my longish replies have disappeared....youtube being stupid for some reason.....
❤love Spirit zulu time GMT 39
If you’re interested in the Zulu Time and you live in the United Kingdom, there are some cracking reductions right now on the 42mm version.
Teddy is there a 42mm version, if so do you carry it?
Great video!
Very good looking watches, except for the douchy five stars. Otherwise really nice.
Comparing the thickness of the watch, I prefer the TUDOR black bay 39mm GMT.
Grrr... no mention of the clasp! Does it have tool-less micro-adjust?
Nope
Just not sure the Titanium is worth the extra cost over the already excellent steel version.
I own a Spirit and i love it, but this looks like a frankenwatch.
Grade 2 or 5 titanium?
Grade 5
Aww man, it was already hard enough to convince people that Teddy wasnt ai.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Really like the hodinkee longines collab. I'd say the only negative is the lug to lug with the bracelet is a bit too long
Sadly it's something they usually do
Absolutely f'ing gorgeous

21mm lugs - cue sad trombone sound.
I just can’t get into titanium Watches. I need my watches to have some substance and weight. I know it sounds silly It is a nice looking watch, however
looks like a pagani design but has a date which i dislike

It’s fully grade 5 titanium
❤❤❤😂😂😂

95% of people will only see videos of these watches.
quite on the pricey side, as much as I love Longines I’d opt for Tudor with this kind of a budget. Still a lovely watch, though!

@@joshuakaplan5726don't know Danny, don't know Blake and I'm not interested in knowing them
Do you know who Blake is? Good grief.
longines is way too overpriced. Competition has more for less.
