For me, I have a bunch of Angmar to be working on after Rohan month (which starts next week) so I recon most of these will be making an appearance on that project!
Something to keep in mind when using the glow effects is that they are fluorescent and glow under blacklight. Where not usually something that comes up, they can be used for nifty glow in the dark eyes or items when you film with a blacklight.
@@SwordsandBrushes Very true! I do a lot of 3D printed terrain and sometimes use fluorescent paint to hide messages or make features (glowing coral or runes) pop if PCs find the secret or the lights dim for a night game.
That is an excellent idea! I bet you have a lot of fun doing things like that, and it must be super fun for the players when they find the secret messages! :)
Perfect timing. Was just about to do some research into this FX range to figure out if I would put some in my basket to fill it out for free shipping. short answer after this video: yes. These look like fun to experiment with.
I am a huge fan of Vallejo Mecha Varnish, It's Matt and i use it on everything now. If you get it - REALLY REALLY shake it up, you may need to stir it so it un-gunks the bottom. But it's superb and i use it through my airbrush. I don't use Rattle cans anymore after some Games Workshop Ardcoat destroyed a while bunch of minis for me. Airbrush all the way! :):)
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What are YOUR favourite effects paints & what would you use them on?

Fresh rust, it is good for all terrain and vehicles!

Interesting and good to know :) Not sure when I would ever use a black light, unless i'm inspecting hotels rooms...

Been looking for a video for these, thank you!
Very glad that the video could be of use for you :) Any favourites in the range?
For the glow effects, a vortex mixer is likely better since they will settle again.
Good video! I was curious about what the stabilizer was used for.
solid! my favorite is verdigris
Ah it's a cool one isn't it! I do like the added grain effect to it - thats a nice touch!
Never mind the paints............ Warhammer subuteo now there's an idea. Time to dig out those skeletons.

Wait? People are throwing out their empty droppers? I thought you were meant to hoard them forever?
What varnish is best for larger models, that can also be used with an airbrush? Also, would you recommend matt or gloss?
