Boyfriend and Girlfriend battle MX in Mario's Madness once again, but this time the songs Power-Down and Demise will be in Super Mario Bros. Style. It's a very high-effort skin and it somehow makes the songs more fun to play. anormalperson has made a lot of cool levels from other mods so you can check their channel out for more.
I'll be playing Powerdown and Demise on very hard, and I'll be comparing the song's SMB style to the original levels in Mario's Madness and Mario '85.

7:18 is so funny because you can actually see mx lunging himself towards the two, like i genuinely thought the sound was gonna be present but I could've never expected mx to actually be visually jumping towards them in the mod
I actually prefer this over the original. The pixelated visuals and vocals just have such a nice charm to them. I don’t dislike the original btw, I just love this one a lot more.
I agree. I like how the original animated Boyfriend, and how they animate Girlfriend rescuing Boyfriend, but outside of that, this new version offers so much more.
I am glad that both versions exist. They benefit one another.

I love how in 7:15 The timer changes to RUN.
I like the timer freezing in the original, but just having the timer say RUN is also pretty cool.
I know I left a comment like that in CoverRuisna but hear me out: I Honestly think this looks better than the OG Powerdown from Mario Madness for a few reasons:
-MX actually have a jump Animation.
-Girlfriend also jumps with Boyfriend.
-They got his WAAHOO letters back.
-We got an actual accurate chase, very similar to MARIO PC PORT with Boyfriend jumping through platforms, pipes and holes while MX destroys the whole shit.
-Small Animation of them entering Inside of the underground.
-Small Cutscene of MX falling into a big hole, and immediately jumps returning to the surface, like in the OG game.
-And finally, how this mod makes me feel like I'm playing a remastered version of SMB.Funk Mix game over, except i'm very glad Boyfriend doesn't have that Mario's hit mechanics because that was a pain in the ass to smash those spam notes with the Mario Gimmicks.
AnotherNormalPerson did an amazing job making this mod, his Sprite Animation skills are so fire. this homie got my respects.

They recreated this so well. It’s so accurate to not only the Mario Madness mod but the Mario ‘85 game itself solely thanks to the pixelated style. The fact that MX outright bulldozers through everything and he’s actually shown falling through everything in demise made this version of Demise and Power even better. For some reason I felt like Demise was even harder here than the original. Anyways, awesome job for the Mod Team for making such an awesomely done recreation of MX in this mod. 👍

The animations here are smooth and transition so well to pixels! I dig MX's jump animation especially, you can just feel the power from how well done it is! I love this reskin a ton, it's seriously some high effort stuff. And this is all by one person? That's awesome!

that's a surprise, i didn't expect you to cover THIS.
one thing i absolutely love about this version is that it just added MORE! like it has way more tiny little details like the background flashing red which appeared in the actual official remastered 1-1, the underground level actually being 1-2 instead of just being reverted 1-1 and the demise *mid-song* cutscene actually SHOWING MX fall down and jump back, oh and don't forget, demise actually having obstacles now instead of just flat land, basically, just awesome.
oh and GF finally fucking jumps with BF aswell insteas of just... slightly ducking?

the smb1 style is better overall, girlfriend actually jumps, it stays original to the og creepypasta, kand in demise theres actual props that they jump over. oh, and you can see the other half of gf.

Well. This is inspiring, i myself have a reskin concept (in pogress? All I've got are concepts and a story, no art or remixes), which is just a self insert, but I'm planning for it to take place after the og mod, I've got some unique ideas for certain songs (such as in power down, the bf stand-in gets killed instead of the gf stand-in, and gf have to take over for the rest of powerdown and demise, bf feeling bad for IHY luigi, and simply kneeling instead of flipping the finger at the end, and even a whole new story, based around soul preserving, M feeling lonely after killing bf and gf, and even a stand-in for pico, I'll be glad to give more details)
