Another early fun underrated Keanu Reeves movie is The Night Before you should see it.

In case you are wondering, it's impossible for a person to hold on to someone with a parachute while it opens. Humans don't have enough arm strength to hold on during the jerk of parachute opening. You need a harness with metal wire to connect both jumpers. This scene is one of the most famous in parachute jumping society, so many tried to replicate it.
