I used to travel by bus to/from Chiang Mai before the budget airline era. Nowadays, I would probably stop for a day or two in Tak, Sukhothai, Nakhon Sawan etc. to break up the journey. Sombat Tour and Nakhon Chai Air are probably the best and most comfortable bus companies in Thailand. Personally, I actually like rest-stop restaurants. Keep up the good work.
Great comment Phillip. Thank you. I haven't been to any of those places yet but hopefully at some point soon. ;-)
Likewise. Last couple of trips to Chiang Mai I have found airfares to be at around the same price as the Bus. This was both to and from CM. No more busses for me.
@@jimrobertson6959 Flying is definitely more convenient and you're right there isn't much difference in the price. We were just curious to try this bus as an alternative means of travel.
I love travel in Thailand, comfortable travel and there are various travel options.
Yes, you're right. :-)
I love the fact that the seat reclines within a set space. that is nice for the person behind you.
Yes, there was a lot of space.
This was a very helpful video, thankyou!🧡
Glad it was helpful!
Great VLOG!!

Hello guys, that looks very comfortable, better than the train. Next week I will also go to Bangkok and on to Pattaya. hence further see where I am going in Thailand. thanks for sharing this video. Greetings George
Thanks George. It was very comfy. Are you in Chiang Mai now?
@@AlwaysonaJourney Hi Andrew, no, I'm still in Holland, but I'm leaving for Thailand on November 16, I'm also going to travel around until eventually I can fly straight to Bali again. At this moment only possible via Jakarta and still 3 days of quarantine.
We want to go to Bali as soon as we can aswell. ;-)
I love this bus. So sad there is no route to Surin (my home) . 👍
It's very comfortable
I remembered I have travel from Chiang Mai to Bangkok with the night bus.. it's not a happy experience.. lol
Also continue to Krabi in the morning when arrived at Bangkok.. also by bus..
Oh really? This bus was comfortable.
Wow Amazing Thailand ❤️
It sure is.
I really enjoyed that I never knew about these busses if they do one from bkk to korat I'm on it
I only just found out about it. I enjoyed it.
@@AlwaysonaJourney I been in and out of Thailand for 30 years I got place up north and this is first I have heard of it thank you for sharing
Very good stuff, thanks. Any WiFi on board?
Hello. There was no onboard wifi.
Looks very nice.would you know if there is one from Bangkok to Sakhon Nakhon..😊
I don't think this company does that route but I'm not certain.
🙇♂Welcome to Thailand 🌎
Thanks. It's my favouritre place. ;-)
I will be in Bangkok on the 26th. Should I buy tickets on line now or wait til I get to Thailand? I noticed on line that 2 tickets are $53, and then they add on Insurance ($5.36), Premium support ($2.98), Booking addon's ($1.70), Service fee ($2.50)
It's your choice. I am sure the add ons are optional. If you wait until you get to Thailand there's a change the tickets for the date you intend to travel are sold out.
We’re do you buy and book a ticket from Bangkok to Chang Mai
You can book your tickets from this website.

How’s the smell like?… saw a review that when the toilet door is opened there’ll be smell of poop and pee…. Wonder if u sat in the rows further up any difference? Thank you!
I don't remember it smelling bad. However, I'd always choose to sit somewhere far from the toilet if possible in order to not be disturbed regularly.
Will there be an extra fee for another luggage? If there is, how much would it be? Thank you!
Oh sorry i don;t know about that
My husband is 1.76 m tall, with the leg rooms on this bus, will it be comfortable sleeping?
I'm 1.75m. It was ok for one night but I can't say it was comfortable.
This is a shared bus so expect people to snore. You should bring ear plugs or headphones next time. You can't stop a person from snoring 😂
Ahh I know that. Any comments I made at the time were just a bit of humour.

bit nonsense to arrive so early in bkk. I would rather take the train first class. You have your room and can walk around also go eat
We've just travelled by train. We wanted to experience both options. :-)
The first class train is hard to book it's like it's always booked up even a month ahead
