I'm an old guy who doesn't know half of what is going on in the music world. Generally, I find it boring and uninspired...that is until acapella started to redefine modern music. I'm in love with music again. I love this song! You and Mike Tompkins made it alive and full of joyful emotion. I can't get enough of your talent Peter Hollens.

I've been waiting for the Hollens a cappella Frozen medley.
I just couldn't stop smiling as I watched this heartwarming video - and just in time for Valentine's Day, too! I have to admit, I avoided this cover once I realized the song was a One Direction original, but I should've realized that anything Peter and Mike accomplished together was bound to be amazing and beautifully done. Definitely one of my favourite UA-cam collabs to date!
And, in all honesty, the original isn't even bad..
Jessica Drumsta Haha, I'm not saying it's bad, it's just that I'm not a fan of One Direction in general, and wasn't expecting the song to be so catchy. But Peter and Mike really took their cover to a new level (they don't sound overproduced and you can still hear their true tone / timbre, even with an a capella arrangement) :)

Oh, that is so sweet! I almost cried. I love the gentle clips between Peter and Evynn and Ashland. :-) You actually made me enjoy a One Direction song, congratulations. Love you guys!
Also that vocal sound that Mike does at 1:03 and at least one other spot, that is so cool. Its a small detail yet it adds so much to the entire song. Peter and Mike sound really good together on both their collabs so far, hope there will be more sometime. Hearts, stars, flowers today, you guys. CELEBRATE LOVE.

awesome rendition (as always!!!)... and seeing the families growing like yours is just unique. To me 14th February will forever be my elder son's birthday (he's 2 today) which is the best loving & romantic gift my wife and I could ever have for a Valentine's day.

Great! The awesome ***** classic sound is back with this one! As usual, solid killer arrangement by Tom Anderson, great contrast between Mike Tompkins and Peter, they work well together. A bit heavier than usual with the autotune, but that's just me. And the video is excellent, lots of touching moments with the 2 couples!. When Peter was kissing ***** tummy really got to me, took me back to when my wife was with child and the love and joy we felt. But Pook of joy? Lol, never heard that one before. Peter, you are a dork, and I say that as a compliment, and with great fondness! Excellent as always, many replays for this one!
ha! YES! IMO being a dork or a nerd or a geek is 100000X better than being "Cool" or "Popular" - I got beat up and picked on all through school. So bad that at times I didn't want to be alive.... really horrible things kids do to others... but guess what? It made me a stronger person, and I learned from it and now I couldn't care less what people think.
***** I can relate. I too am a dork/nerd/geek, and was a skinny kid who got picked on as well up until the 9th grade. I was lucky, as I wasn't bothered in high school due to a certain non violent event at the start of 10th grade. I was left alone after that.
***** This. Comment. Made. My. Life. I've been struggling with being a "social outcast" for a couple years now, and I've gotten used to it, but of course it always hurts a bit. But knowing someone that was bullied and felt like I do can move on to be the amazing gift you are today - to your wife, UA-cam, the music industry, and basically the world - makes me feel so much better!
