I noticed cooked meat heals a pyromane faster than raw. Not cooked prime though.
My #1 Tip for this thing if you haven't figured it out yet Level up your Gigantoraptor 88 times Basically max it out to get the 100% Taming bonus on babies
#2 Tip you cannot pickup higher level babies than the Gigantoraptor's own level

I love how this thing's taming method is a helicopter parent telling its child never to accept candy from strangers... only to be lured away from their child by candy from strangers. 😅😮💨
I think the key lesson is that if you want to talk to the kids you first need to give candy to the parents instead.

These creatures are so OP. You can kill any parent and take their babies while getting the same bonus you'd get from taming the parent. Except that you can get 100% effectiveness rather than 99.
How can you get 100% effectiveness because the most I can get is 90%
U actually need a super high level mutated to get 100% a tamed 150 just gives like 75% und efectivness or something like that

@@raphaeljoseph1645im pretty sure its based on your taming effectiveness and levels you put into it combined mutations dont matter except for the fact that you can only imprint lower level babies with it
one thing you NEEED to be aware of, the bonus levels you get are tired to how much the Giganto is leveled up. you wont get full bonus levels until your raptor is maxed out on its levels.
I also believe you need a perfect tame on the gigantoraptor too. The gigantoraptor also has to a higher level then the baby you want to claim. An interesting fact, you only need to tame a level 45 gigantoraptor to start. Once it gets the bonus levels from taming, and the 88 level up levels, it will be over level 150 and you can claim any 150 level baby with it and get full bonus levels, including other gigantoraptors.
To get 100% tame effectiveness on babies you claim with a Gigantoraptor it needs to have full 100% tame effectiveness itself (which any bred individuals will have) and the full 88 post-tame levels. So you gots to get a bred one and let it get all those levels if you want a perfect baby snatcher.
12:24-13:34 I agree, I can see it working with other creatures to make taming more immersive. Either this method,gaining the creature's trust or testing your strength in a fight against it before you can tame it🙂
Immersive Taming mod on ASE was SO much fun! I think WC took notes from that because quite frankly, that's how a lot of taming SHOULD be done. ☺

Just a suggestion, because that's how I've done it, for the land bridges. You should really try using Klinger's Rustic mod. The floating foundations and bridges are fantastic and so much easier to link areas.
That Klinger bridge is pretty amazing not gonna lie! I second this!
Also as a recommendation, try the Sunken world additions. They have added tons of things recently and TLCed creatures. Perhaps it's best part is the additional fish types on which the other wildlife agro on makes the water feel alot more like the land. Not like everything is simply sitting there waiting to chomp on a survivor.

Honestly I wouldnt have been upset if you did the taming for the lil one, raised it, killed it, and force tamed the parent, cause then you still would have spent the time and resources but you would have that awesome colored one

Think the best name for that little guy should be a chocobos (final fantasy delivery bird) as it has a very close similarities to them,
I have an idea. Obviously carrying around a trike to have the buff would be annoying, but what about a bonded pyromane? It can sit on your shoulder so I wonder…
It also works fine with rex eggs, so it doesn't need to be the highest tier, probably just the highest two tiers. Also I'm guessing at one point maybe you walked a little two far from the nest for a fraction of a second? That will drop taming effectiveness too.
To get the bonus levels on the babies you need to have 88 levels pumped into the raptor. I believe it takes the % of the 88 levels and uses that to determine how effective the tame is on the orphan. Example you have 44 levels into your gigantoraptor and claim a level 30 it would get 50% effectiveness and come out as a 37. I just keep a leveled one in my pack in case I run across something interesting in my travels.

And yes, this kinda emote mimicry thing is very close to how you make friends with other creatures in the 2nd stage of the game called the creature stage, aswell as though to a lesser degree the Tribal stage where you instead of emotes use music and match what the tribe you are trying to befriend plays.

Finally, babies will have a use other than prime
I use spino eggs and get the same two attempts in per egg. Yes, you can use the gigantoraptor to tame other baby gigantoraptors after killing the parent but you won't get full levels like you would doing the minigame until your gigantoraptor is fully leveled up. They also can only claim babies equal to or less than their own level.

The trick with these dinos is to use the egg to lure the mother into a trap so you only have to use one egg
They literally changed it so that doesn't work anymore within like the first three days of Gigantoraptor's release lol

a fun thing i use gigantoraptors for is for taming troodons as they do have babies and it much better than having to sacrifice your good tames for taming that adults
When you’re taming and Gigantoraptor you need to be super fast if you don’t want to lose effectiveness, it’s really hard to do it perfectly 😢

I believe the baby can ask for you to kill anything above a certain level (it will show you in the bottom right where it tells you it wants to bond) including gigas and alpha rexes. Also, to gain 'taming levels' from orphaned babies in the wild, it scales with the amount of 'tamed levels' you have put in, so you will only get 100% taming levels from a baby if you put in all 88 levels and get your tamed gigantoraptor to its max level. Also! the 'baby call' will re-roll imprints on babies you are raising, like how crypods used to do.
I've had a few spawn near my base and tried to tame, but never had any luck. I was only getting something like 3% taming on each attempt, and then once I got up to around 70-80% tamed, the tame would reset. Was so frustrating.

On official pve is impossible to tame them as the baby will not start the mini game if there is a structure near,and on official pve is full of pillers with ladders on them ...
