    Thanks for the video (my next comment has nothing to do with you) Nice of Nissan to make this process so 'easy and simple' ;) They could have just made the speaker screws visible from the front so you could unscrew them and access everything. But.. that would be considered elegant engineering and reduce cost of repair/maintenance and we can't have that.

    I'm looking at replacing the speakers on my 2016 Rogue with these same Rockford Fosgates, but keeping the stock stereo. The stock speakers are 2-ohms, and these replacements are 4-ohms. Did you notice a significant difference in the volume with these new speakers?

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself  Рік тому

      I noticed a slight volume difference. It was a cleaner sound, too, because one of my speakers was making cracking noises at higher volumes. Good luck with your project!- Mike

    Did you install any amp, if not did it make noticeable improvements in sound quality.? Great diy video, ty

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself  2 роки тому

      I didn't install an amplifier on this vehicle- I had only purchased the vehicle 6 months to a year prior to making this video. I've got to have a few years of ownership before I decide to upgrade to an amp/subwoofer. The Rogue had a crackling speaker on the passenger side so I wanted to replace them all. The sound quality was better but not like an amplified system would be. Good luck with your project!- Mike

    Thanks for the video. There are two small places on dashboard for a tweeter in case of using a component speakers, do you know if they are wired there or not?

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself  2 роки тому +1

      It should depend on what speaker package your Rogue came with. If your vehicle came with upgraded speakers, you should have tweeters in those areas. If you have the basic speaker package, usually there isn't any wiring going to those areas. One option is using a tweeters/ mids combo as long as they fit into the door panels. Wiring the tweeters from the stereo to the tweeter access panels shouldn't be too difficult as long as you run the wiring along the bottom of the dash panels and can open up those panels. Then run the wiring up the sides. Good luck with your project! - Mike

    I have 2019 Nissan Rogue SV Awd. May I ask you question? Do you feel bass Rockford Fosgate 6.5 in speakers? Because I am deaf and can't hear the speakers but I can feel bass, like vibrate! That I need feel bass speakers. How about Alpine R2-S65 R Series??? Thanks!

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself  Рік тому +1

      The Alpine R2-S65 R series would be a great choice, but I would be concerned more about the power or wattage of your stereo. A higher wattage stereo is going to give you better bass. If you've got an upgraded stereo system with the vehicle, then you may be fine just switching out your speakers. If you've got decent bass with your factory stereo right now, either speaker would be a good choice. Good luck with your project!- Mike

    Do you know how to add a subwoofer? I have a 15 rogue and couldn't find any way to run the power cable from the battery to the inside of the car. TIA

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, usually, if you bought a wiring kit, the red cable with the fuse will go directly from the positive side of the battery to the positive terminal of your powered subwoofer or amplifier. I haven't added a subwoofer in this particular vehicle but you'll have to utilize any holes that go from the engine compartment to the cabin- or find a safe place to drill through and use electrical tape on the wires around that point - a rubber grommet would be recommended also. Good luck with your project!- Mike

      Sounds like a stereo issue if it's effecting all of your speakers. I would check to see if there is a mute button or setting on the stereo. Check any radio fuses then check the connections that are located behind the stereo that lead to the speakers. (It shouldn't be connections unless you've made some changes to the wiring recently.) Good luck! - Mike
