      @jairperez7505 Hello, the screws are really up to you. I wanted to use the same types of screws that were used originally, which was a zinc coated wood screw. An outdoor or exterior wood screw with the plastic-like coating would be an excellent option, also. Good luck with your project!- Mike

    When you talk about a drain plug in the back of the engine is that for the engine coolant also or to drain the engine motor oil?

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself 10 днів тому

      The drain plug on the back side of the engine is for draining of engine coolant. It's not necessary that you open that one also, but it will empty the engine block of coolant(coolant stuck behind the closed thermostat). You could drain the radiator, refill, run the engine, and then let it cool. Then repeat the process. This should change out most of the fluid. Good luck with your project!- Mike

    I wish i saw this video before going to a local shop They installed 2 midrange speakers in the back doors because the oem ones were damaged and subwoofer in the trunk. All those three hooked up to a big amplifier fitted under the passenger seat. The music now sounds much better but i think i need to install 2 coaxial speakers in the front door but keep them on the original harness which is not connected to the amp This way i can listen to music at least on the two front speakers when the car is not on while waiting or something What do you suggest i wish i was near you i am living abroad and the shops here are basic. Now too much bass and vocals i dont like much the setup though paid big for it

    • @mikesdoityourself
      @mikesdoityourself 2 місяці тому

      @ramiad90 Hello, I always liked having 2 or 3 way speakers in all the doors, just to get as much range as possible around me while sitting in the vehicle. With an amp, you're sending different signals to different speakers, so it doesn't matter as much getting full, dynamic speakers at every door spot. I've personally gone away from having amps and subwoofers to utilizing the factory systems or simply upgrading the head unit. If I did have an issue with a speaker, I would replace it with a full, dynamic range speaker. For your situation, I would upgrade my other speakers as needed and utilize the subwoofer only as needed. You can always adjust the subwoofer settings if it's too much bass, etc. Good luck with your project!- Mike

      @snowydonahue2923 Hello, you can remove the pins from the hinges or adjust the tension all the way down and leave the pins in.
