Jageshwar Dham:
Jageshwar is a Hindu pilgrimage town near Almora in Almora district of the Himalayan Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is one of the Dhams (pilgrimage region) in the Shaivism tradition. Jageshwar Temples, also referred to as Jageswar Temples or Jageshwar Valley Temples, are a group of 125 ancient Hindu temples dated between 7th and 14th century.
Kasar Devi Temple:
Kasar Devi is a village near Almora, Uttarakhand. It is known for the Kasar Devi temple, a Devi temple, dedicated to Kasar Devi, after whom the place is also named. The temple structure dates to the 2nd century CE. Swami Vivekananda visited Kasar Devi in 1890s, and numerous western seeker, Sunyata Baba Alfred Sorensen and Lama Anagarika Govinda.
It's believed that this temple is positioned on the earth's Van Allen Belt. The region surrounding the Kasar Devi Temple has an enormous geomagnetic field or Paramagnetism, thanks to gaps in bands of radiation. As a result, Kasar Devi is endowed with a cosmic energy similar to that of Stonehenge in UK and Machu Picchu in Peru.
Katarmal Sun Temple:
The village of Katarmal is located 17 kilometres from Almora. A steep 3-km climb from Almora-Ranikhet road, takes one to an ancient temple complex nestled within deodar trees, which has withstood the long march of time. Located 2,116 metres above sea level, the Katarmal sun temple has an unbelievable view of the valley of the valley as well as the Kosi river.
The Katarmal Temple was built in the 9th century by the Katyuri kings, a Hindu Rajput dynasty who ruled over the region in that period and were responsible for the construction of nearly 400 temples in Uttarakhand alone. This particular temple was built by Katarmalla and is a grand complex featuring a shrine dedicated to the ancient avatar of the sun god known as Burhadita or Vraddhaditya. It is surrounded by 44 smaller temples constructed at different periods in time.
