Very good and complete video ! As you mentioned and I confirm it, they are many pickpockets in gare du Nord !! It's a very dangerous area... Personnaly I love the interior of the Thalys, I took it once, it's looks like kind of luxuary with the red seats...

Yeah Thalys is great.. although the capacity on these lines is almost complete. It happens so many times that trains are just full. I think when the bar would not be there you can have more seats (or they should serve better food).

@@Trainviking Yes I agree but to my opinion what they should do is to put longer tgv trains like the KTX1 in South Korea.

    Bedankt voor de tips.
Ik ga over een paar weken naar Parijs met de thalys en het metro systeem ziet er best ingewikkeld uit etc. Anders dan in NL.

Paris gare du nord Station looks amazing and so many connections no wonder why its the busisest station in Europe I want to visit there next year which is when I will hopefully start travelling
The Thalys red interior does look comfortable big red seats and interior and the livery too BTW Thalys and eurostar are merging into one company from 2021 next year this could see direct services from London to New destinations in Germany and other places in Netherlands or Belgium or France currently not served by eurostar I wonder what the new interior would be and also I wonder how the passport checks would be since UK citizens and nationals need passport to go to continental Europe vice versa because Britian is not schengen and will be fully out of EU come 31st December 2020

Hello, just to verify that they don't ask for any identification from Rotterdam to Paris? And from Paris to Rotterdam. They only ask for your tickets right? Hoping for your response! ☺️

In general there are no border controls within the Schengen zone if this is what you mean. However it is allowed to check 5% of international railway passengers according to the Schengen treaty. So a small change you will be checked. Tickets however are based on a specific name, therefore train staff might ask in some situation to see your name on a travel document. And of course you need to have the right travel documents, even though you're traveling within the Schengen zone. There are no custom formalities and if they are there it's very rare.

@@Trainviking thank you so much for your response. is it not required for us to present a passport? Will a local government valid i.d would suffice? ☺️

Background music far too loud. Could hardly hear what you were saying.

Thanks for the feedback, when I made this video I didn't have that much editing experience yet. However on my newer videos, this should be better.

In the highest class the catering just great, but at the bar it's very basic. Before corona these trains where really popular, so therefore i would think that extra seats are very welcome. When these trains has been refurbished, the capacity will go up a bit though.
Personally i think that partly duplex trains will solve this problem, although those trains are havear so therefore more track maintenance is needed (and because of the soft ground in the Netherlands I think the only solution is to make the trains longer).
