Why didn't you wear a protector in just one shoe and not in the other, of the same pair of shoes? Seems like that would have given you the perfect control for this experiment. That way you don't have to worry about all the differences that come with 2 different pairs of shoes, along with making sure you're performing the same tasks (walking, hiking, running, etc...) You could then just view the pair of shoes after using them and easily view if they're really working or not. The only downside to this is it might be a little annoying because one foot may feel a little different than the other on account there only being a single protector in. But I would think it wouldn't feel that bad since you only have to wear it for only the length of the experiment.

I'ma design sneakershield that cover the whole toe box and foot with foam insulation , make them to wear they love with the foot ,to promote movement and comfortability . I dunno but never got why they only make them to wear they come a little over halfway?

if you want to get somewhat of an idea of how it is going to work, ball up your toes similar to a fist (do it really tight) and try walking, beware when doing this it may hurt a little but try to look at your shoes when you do it.
I got some for my airforces. One works and is comfortable but the other one comes up when I walk and my toes get trapped underneath the bottom. They hurt when I wear them for more than 10 mins and if I take them out then the shoes will be too big. What should I do??

I have tried both. I think my thing with the force fields is that once they start creasing, they're pretty much done and the function is gone. I chose to put up with the slightly more uncomfortable sneaker shields because they will maintain their shape a bit more even though the heat will soften them a tad during wear.

When it comes to these crease protectors the main thing is finding that balance between comfort and stiffness/keeping the toebox flat. If it was completely stiff your foot would probably be killing you tbh. I've had them in some of my nicer pairs for months now and they do soften during longer wears but they still butt up enough to reduce the overall amount of creasing over time from what i've noticed haha.

I see you haven't gotten a response from dude yet but I can tell you I used to buy my regular size shoe and put the shoe shields in and noticed on some shoes (Jordan 13's) hurt my feet so I started going a half size up in my shoe size and I haven't had any issues so far. I would suggest if it's a narrow-toed shoe then get a half size up and if it's around tote shoe like a Air Force One I would go your with the normal size .
For instance, all of my Jordan 4s I get my regular size and put the shoe shields in because they have around toe. But if it's like a Jordan 13 or a narrow-toed shoe, I go a half size up

Hey Stacey, thanks for the great idea. I have considered it. Ultimately, I'm not so sure how possible it is to make a product that completely eradicates creases. Definitely would have to straddle a fine line between comfort and function. More research needed for me hahaha!!

Why they stop a little over halfway baffles me , if they made them to wear they covered the whole toe box and maybe put foam lining where your feet go to prevent how uncomfortable these can be over long periods of wear . You can't prevent creasing, this is how shoes work, they ARE going to crease. now you can live your life and wear your sneakers properly or you can just not wear them or feel a lot of pain while wearing them just for them not to crease. I'm telling you, it really isn't that big of a deal. Some people find it better when sneakers are a little bit creased because it gives them a bit of character, but it's up to you to decide man, it's just a word of advice

Yeah I also noticed when you have bigger feet I wear size 15 that they pretty much just move the crease farther up in the shoe making it harder to get out but it gets less and less the smaller feet you have son🤷♂️

I wanted to know if you know what I could use to prevent the creases. It seems like all the sneaker shields are built for either Jordan 1s or air forces.
They're all kinda built with the same last/mold it seems :(. I think your best bet would be to just grab a set and try to cut them in a way that best fits the shape of your shoe bro. Good luck!
For short wears, not a problem at all with comfort. for long wears, it does start to press up against the tops of your feet and it can get uncomfortable if your shoes are TTS/ you like to lace your sneakers tightly
I am surprised that someone would bother about creasing on sports shoes, because they look plasticky or cartoonish anyway. I think crease would make sense on normal everyday leather shoes, formal style.

People are looking up these videos for leather sneakers, not some no leather joggers. I'm here to get creases out of my Italian patent leather Giuseppe Vanotti sneakers, they look nothing like plastic and probably cost more than any "formal pair" OP rocks. Whatever leather shoe you rock, they're getting creases and nobody likes creases and there's a free easy way to remedy it so why wouldn't we?

So the cut out should be on the "outside" of the foot or the "inside"
the big cutout is for your pinky toe, so they should be on the outside!
Cedar shoe trees will wick away sweat and do more to help with creases. Yeah they will cost a lot more but you get what you pay for.
I use shoe trees as well when i'm not wearing them. These are meant to be worn with.

I am surprised that someone would bother about creasing on sports shoes, because they look plasticky or cartoonish anyway. I think crease would make sense on normal everyday leather shoes, formal style.

@@ecurb10 we're talking about these Air Force 1 "sports shoe." First of all, these aren't even "sport shoes," they're a casual shoe. Second of all, they're leather and don't look "plasticy." Third of all, those "plasticy" looking joggers aren't the ones people are worried about creasing on as those don't crease terribly like leather. People are looking up these videos for leather sneakers, not some no leather joggers. I'm here to get creases out of my Italian patent leather Giuseppe Vanotti sneakers, they look nothing like plastic and probably cost more than any "formal pair" OP rocks. Whatever leather shoe you rock, they're getting creases and nobody likes creases and there's a free easy way to remedy it so why wouldn't we?

I was just expressing my puzzlement and frustration as to why there doesn't seem to be shields available specifically for leather dress shoes...that's all.
BTW: I bought a pair of these shields anyway and have tried them out in my joggers and they work great!

these are definitely the best kind of sneaker shields for preventing creasing. They are a little more uncomfortable for long periods if your shoes are TTS.
