I couldn't stay on it because I had terrible apathy and lost all motivation and gained weight. I'm feeling better I'm on week 3 of no lexapro. By week 2 I was exercising again and I feel better off than on.
What is possibly the safest SSRI drug for people who have GAD and have taken Valium 5mg 2x day for 6 years. At age 66 like to get off them on to something else as I wean off more. Have been on just 5mg at times. I tried Paxil years ago before Valium and it made panic attacks terrible. Also after a year had terrible “brain zaps” weaning off. About only SSRI I have not tried for anxiety over the last 25 years is Prozac at a low dose 5-10 mg a day? Any downside to that SSRI effective or weaning off after 1-2 years? Could it help me wean off Valium?
I got off sertraline a few days ago and my memory seems messed up like I know what I'm doing but im not focused or my mind is out of it. Is that normal?
my memory went to alzheimers levels after coming off of lexapro cold turkey started with crazy pressure headaches insomnia and rage then the memory problems
