Soldano is once again in the spotlight at BouGear. This time, we fly over the US version of their striking pink-purple preamplifier, the SP77! This preamp is the little brother of the legendary X88 and X99.
Also, Lisa Bolduc finds it a lot easier to edit Playthrough style videos ;P ! So we opted for this formula this time. This allows you to "quickly" browse the whole beast.
Good viewing!

Is that straight in or you running through an overdrive pedal ? I have a modded sp-77 (subtle mod)...
First metal part is without OD.
Second metal part is with Maxon OD9+.
Clean and crunch parts are without OD.
GREAT sounding man ! Would love to see some Gut shots if you get a chance .
Is treble above 10 o clock overkill on the gain channel or something?
With the Bright cap on the lead channel, the treble can be very harsh on high setting!
great sound! dude could you pleasse also do the myasnikov superlead playthrough ? Which one is better ?
Thanks !
I will do the playthrough with the Myasnikov SuperLead, HBE and Tweed... But I don't know when.
Thanks for your comment !
Rock On / Gear On !
Hey! 2 years later... I will publish a Myasnikov SuperLead video in the next few weeks. I would say that I prefer the SuperLead over the SP77 for the lead channel.
Rock ON !
Solide demo !
Do you prefer nomades 4x12 or mesa 4x12?
Both are great cabinet. I had chance to compare my Nomades 4x12 with a goold old Mesa 4x12 FB Straight-Slant. I would admit that the Mesa have a little something better.. The Mesa sound more ready to the mix.. but I would not sold my Nomades for a Mesa.
Nomades is a defunt canadian company based in Quebec. I doubt you will be able to get one. Mesa is more frequent.
Killer job !
What is your signal path?? What’s plugged into what? Sounds great
Thanks man! Signal chain is in the description. Great preamp that Soldano but keep it stock!
Rock ON / GEAR ON !

I like the cat
I also LOVE my cat!
Soldano amps to me sound like a Marshall mixed with a nasty BOSS distortion in the mids/upper mids
