Dude, I love your review style. Great opening, honest, no bs. And you're thorough. I've seen these Grotes on Amazon and been curious about them. Picked up a Fojill I'm gonna review from Amazon soon. Nice job, man. Thanks again!
I picked one of these up off Craigslist a while back. I have to say, It has really grown on me. Once dialed in the sound is pretty friggin good. Its great that it cost less than a set of pickups.
People are ragging on you for buying it but I thought your review was pretty honest. I asked for one because of the P90 pickups, good to know to expect to switch the tuners.
I bought a cheapo Glarry strat to modify and the same thing happened. It was listed and shown as yellow (close to graffiti yellow) and when it arrived, it was a poop pumpkin brown orange-ish color. I wasn't super into the color. I contacted them about a return or exchange and they refunded me and told me to keep it. I never play it, but that turned out OK!
nice guitar brotha! be sure to check the nutslots as well...strings can get "hung up" in them if the slot is too narrow...cheaper than replacing tuners! i have the "tv yellow" epiphone LP special and this model would make for a sweet comparison film!
Check out the West Creek Les Paul style.. a really good cheap Guitar, it has big pots .. the only thing I changed are the pickups, the original ones are good.. it stays in tune
Yes, those tuners would have to go! Sometimes a new set of strings can make all the difference. Or maybe the nut slots need to be filed down a bit, or otherwise intonate the bridge. Also, see if you can tweak the pickup heights -- sometimes they can yield a more pleasing sound at a different distance from the strings. But yeah, best to pass on this one!
I have the green version. It's not yellow because its satin which is hard to tell in the pictures. I installed locking tuners and a roller bridge and it plays great , but I still find the pickups wanting and would have to change them to make it a keeper.😉
Except for the nice playing, a expect you're not conviced about buing this guitar... The comour is awful, sounds like garbage and how does it feel then??? For me, I always keep out of the 'budget' range, see to it that you buy something with some what quality. It will be a bargin in the end! And this is for everything! A guitar in a 5-7 hundred will do you good! For me, I have a Gibson Standard, but for the moment my favourite is the Sire L7v for about 6.50. Try it out it is Amazibg!
That's not Pumpkin, its bile (sorry just being honest). Looks awful. All these cheap guitar you waste money on, you could of brought a few awesome guitars of a lifetime, all the money your wasting on garbage is insane.

Thanks! I appreciate that
Thanks for the quality review and especially letting us hear a wide variety of tones!
I didn't expect you to shred on that! I like it, but I'm more bluesy. Good vid!

Yeah it looked cool so I wanted to try it. It's not a bad guitar for the price. Played really well. Just gotta fix a few things
Honest review, however with the issues you had, I am curious about your customer service experience?
I didn't have to deal with their customer service. I just returned it through Amazon

It's the cheap guitar I didn't know I need, but now must purchase. I'd get the sunburst finish, myself.
Sounds good 👍👍
Thanks!
Wrong, the best guitar is the one that feels and sounds best in your hands, regardless of brand
Nice video! What is the device you are running your guitar into that is sitting on the table in this video?
Thanks! Its a Universal Audio audio interface

The description clearly says it's orange on the amazon listing
They must have changed it. When I originally purchased almost a year ago, the listing said yellow.
@ihateeuge probably. I too thought it was Yellow but then saw they listed it as orange.

I would definitely try all that but the color is just too much for me lol
@@ihateeugeit’s definitely peachy colored.

Sounds awful is an understatement, it's one of the worst LPs I've heard thus year. 🤮
Scrote Les pull special
I’m getting one and I will change the headstock to say “Scrote”
Grow-tee
I don't hear a lot of good stuff on Grote guitars

I quite like his custom partcaster builds, on the most part they sound and look great.
