Being subjected to centuries of invasion and conquest, the island is a melting pot of cultural influences, resulting in a beautiful array of architecture, art, and cuisine!

About Us:
When we were in our early 20’s, chasing our own dreams of living in Europe, we met one night at a pub in Florence...11 months later, we were married! Having been together for 4 years now, we have lived & worked on 3 different continents & even on a cruise ship!
We moved back to Italy to live out one of our biggest dreams - to pull off the Ultimate Italian Road Trip, traveling to all 20 regions of Italy by the end of 2022! We will be showcasing the impressive diversity all 20 regions of Italy have to offer - from the history, architecture, art, culture, food, traditions and so much more! 🇮🇹

I was born in Sicily, my family moved to England for 5 years then we moved to the USA. I have returned to Sicily several times and for so long it's gotten a bad reputation but you have done a good job of showing all it's splendor. Taormina is one of my all time favorite cities. I love how Sicily has become more popular. Can't wait to see your next region.

Nice compilation, but in my humble opinion, one spot is missing for a top Sicilian list, Cefalu.
Ahh yes we agree Alfredo, and we will be including Cefalu in our other video on Top 10 places to visit in Sicily! 🤗 We wanted to climb to La Rocca in Cefalu when we were there, but we didn’t get a chance to do it - otherwise it probably would have been on this list of things to do!

We went to the Aeolian Islands, but didn’t get a chance to go to the Egadi Islands! We hope to come back one day & see them, they look gorgeous! 😍

Would you suggest visiting Syracuse , Ortigia & Noto or Aeolian Islands, if I could only do one in the time I have?
Hard to choose, I am from Messina and I would go to the aeolian islands or to Noto, but there's a big BUT: if you go to aeolian islands make sure you visit Milazzo (where you take thr boat to the islands) and it's castle and black beaches.
If you choose Noto make sure you visit the entire Val di Noto, so Modica and Ragusa too! They are splendid small town very close to each other and you could visit everything in 2 or 3 das!

If you rent a car to self tour Sicily, how difficult is parking in the various cities/towns?
It definitely depends on what time of year you are visiting as well as where you are visiting. Summer is very busy and parking will be more difficult.
