I was ready to make a comment about "how could you not put my personal favorite figure of the year in your top 10?!" But then I got to number 1. And you did. Great list!
Aracagorr was what got me into this line! I hope the 4 horsemen release more dragosyrs going forward. It's an excellent candidate for ogre scale popping and swapping and I can only imagine having a whole army of these guys in different colours and armours!
@@Dessiker I did! I've pre-ordered Stavros and I intend to get Skkurge in some time but I need moaarr. Would especially appreciate new headsculpts and armour accessories.
Ninian is probably my favorite of the year at the moment, but I don't dispute your #1 pick at all, he'd probably be up there for me had we not gotten Snake Men.
Great video Bill. While I personally don’t agree with a lot of this (especially the bang for your buck on Ph’shr) I do appreciate the thought and care that went into a list like this.
Fun video!!! Skeleton Legion Builder 2 is a clear #1 in my eyes, $26 for a figure that is 100% new parts that can hit crazy poses and looks great, with a paint job that doesn't feel like a legion builder. I did not see your #1 coming! Obviously it is your ranking system, but it doesn't seem fair to have "Lore" weighted as highly as "look" or "hand candy" when discussing action figures. Especially with Figura Obscura being based on 100+ year old classic literary works and Mythic/Cosmic being based on fantasy/sci-fi tropes, it isn't even comparable. I actually prefer that Mythic/Cosmic doesn't have (much) specific lore associated with them so I can envision them however I want. I feel like Cosmic got a bit short-changed this year since they didn't get a "new" wave released, just the repaint wave. Oxkrewe Book One should be big next year!
@@Dessiker Yeah we all have our own preferences of what we value, I value lore in these four horsemen lists especially because Four Horsemen put a lot of effort into the storytelling, whether it's the bios, the narratives, the packaging, the extras etc. they make an effort to do it, so I make an effort to include it.
Ph’shr at 10 shocks me. It’s my number one by far. It has great value for the price and looks amazing. 4 heads. 3 necks, 2 chest pieces, 2 sets of arms and legs, and the most detailed paint job of any cosmic we have seen.
@@curtismakerman The retail pricing vs direct pricing creates a huge gap. For example is Ph'shr for $60 a better deal than two Skeletons for $52? Or two Red Jets for $74?
@ better than 2 skellies maybe not. Better than 2 standard figures for $14 more heck yeah. He’s a few parts short of 2 full figures at retail. That value is crazy good.
Great list! Aracagorr is an all-timer for sure. Would love to seen an “all-time” legions list with this scoring system (maybe after necro and rising sons officially come out) although the thought of having to rank every legions is pretty daunting lol
I though the Frankenstein's Monster/Creature was the most impressive with all the extra stuff. But, it's such a hard decision to make - all of the figures are cool.
@@hammertronactionfigures2426 If I hadn't used the point system, I think the Creature would have been #1. Like if I had to pick just one figure to keep from 2024 and get rid of all the rest, I'd have chosen the Creature.
Bill “The Braggart” coming out in this video. Look at me ! I have ALL the Four Horsemen figures !! Well.. whoop-dee-doo. Uh, I have them all too & they are very cool ;) Ha! No Shame Bill, you keep collecting & reviewing. This was a great list, solid picks!
The only figure I had from your top 10 was the Tussc Pilot. I'm into collecting Cosmic legend space rangers and Android looking action figures did get the alien greys. and from Mystic Legions , I'm into the All the knights, Templars, gladiators angelic beings, The mounts, basically action figures that are human-like + not creatures or monsters. Another category that you should add , the demand of the figure how highly is it sought after availability (basically a Grail) & in the aftermarket value is very high also, which action figures are boring? Peg warmers and the price is below retail. Great video! I look forward to them. Always well informed.
Bill, a well thought out Top ten . Frankensteins monster ranked high on my action figure of the year. The rendering and overall concept was perfect. I have not picked up. Dragon kin yet. I should maybe the BBTS exclusive.✌️
This really hammers home what a superb year its been for 4H/Mythic/Cosmic/FO. For me Thraice and Aracagorr share the top spot (just can't decide between them) with Azahazzar a close second
I appreciate this and you've inspired me to maybe do one myself. I can totally see you approaching this like an assessment working really hard to create a rubric. Ha.
My list is nearly identical lol. Take out the Ninian Infantry and they’re the same. ‘24 was a great year for 4H releases but I think ‘25 will surpass it.
@@DorkLair I missed that part and only saw it on their website. How coincidental that only a few months ago I had been wondering if Four Horsemen would add any more factions. What fun!
Wouldn't throwing darts have been an easier way of assigning scores? Y'know, using a dart board of course. We want to keep the action figures in good shape.

The only thing about arracagorr i dont like is the ankle joints are weak and it falls over without a stand .
