Very interesting. I just bought a “small” 3 x 4 foot Sigmund 16mm table, I’ve got the new imperial sized model. Their tables have been redesigned since this video. For that size, it’s extremely flat. My 4 foot machine straightedge shows just a couple of thousandths variation. There are a number of excellent tables out there, including your new ones. Many different design philosophies. I once considered a Certiflat, but nobody seems to be able to get them flat, even the smaller, thicker models. Maybe it’s because they use a low carbon, soft plate. Buildpro seems to have copied a bunch of the Sigmund fixtures. And in a couple of cases, the other way around. Sigmund does have left and right hand rotating fixtures. It’s interesting, but I also had a 2 x 3 Grizzly table 9 gauge thick. It was oxide coated and didn’t rust. Spatter wasn’t much of a problem either. It seemed to me to be medium carbon steel. Using standard 16mm clamps didn’t damage the holes or bend the table. It cost $139. Too bad they don’t still have them, but there are a lot of similar models out there.
