Nice little tour, thank you
Great Video Captain! That Aircraft Carrier was actually CV-67 USS John F. Kennedy. She was retired in 2009. My cousin was with John F. Kennedy's Carrier Air Wing 3. They were a part of the first air strikes During Desert Storm.
I used to eat at the Commissary. FDR Park , growing up My Dad taught my 2 brothers and I how to play baseball in the 1960s. Miss those times.
I was in the Navy. Submarines are called boats for some reason. Everything else is a ship. I worked at the Navy Yard for 34 years. Familiar scenery!
Hey Philly Captain great video in the Navy Yard, the Stadiums and FDR Park-South Phila..Enjoy & TOODLES...
One of the commenters said it’s further down by the Surekill river . You have to go back. I would love to see it.❤
Thanks for the video. There are two big events this weekend, the Broad Street Run which ends at the Navy Yard and the Kentucky Derby is this weekend. And Sunday is Cinco de Mayo.
The battleship is all the way down where the schuykill river meets the delaware, you just needed to go further south.
Great day for another great video. Hope Wally is returned safe.
0:49 ....whatever floats your boat 🚢
You were so close. The carrier is in 16th st and the battleship nj is at 18th and kitty hawk.
Awesome, just in time before bed time.
20:30 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had no idea that access was given to that area of the shipyard. I would love to go down there because I love ships.
I need to go exploring. This is so cool. What a great video.
i did an apprenticeship at Charleston Naval Shipyard...worked on BOATS for almost 40 yrs...they are boats...never heard anyone call it a ship...i read that the New Jersey is in drydock #3...where she was launched from...
I watch your videos and just laugh and laugh ,such a good time scootin with the captain.
Naval yard was the best! They closed it due to politics. shame. I used to go swimming there with my school friend. Love your videos Jon.
The nerds call 'em ships, I call 'em boats.
Yo Cuz! You were so close to the New Jersey. Go down Broad to KittyHawk Ave (just past the Commandants offices, where URBN HQ is (you were on KittyHawk at one point. Make a right and just go down KittyHawk and you can't miss its there on the left. There's a lot more in the Navy Yard, too, like a hidden Koi Pond in a flooded building and outdoor stairwell, a giant dinosaur sculpture made by a 1st Nation Tribe and so much more. Also, I'm a former Marine, you can call ships, "boats", its not a problem.
I think that's what I think would make a great shirt captain!
I believe that carrier is the John F. Kennedy, the last conventional powered aircraft carrier in the U.S. fleet. & yes, she has been sold to be scrapped. BB-62 aka battleship New Jersey is in drydock #3, which is part of a privately owned shipyard/ship builder. DON'T BE WRITING ANY BOOK REPORTS FROM THIS INFOMATION......
Thanks I enjoyed watching awesome places
Thanks ! Is It not a Vessel Captain. ??
When I first started working on tugboats, I was going to buy one of the houses. but they knocked them all down.
👍
the new jersey is in shipyard #4 no they don't scrap them in philly. The navy yard is like a graven facility. then they tow them to texas to scrap them.
You should visit the Town Center in King of Prussia. It is awesome and very alive!!!
Damn, now I wanna get high and watch Police Academy 😂
I thought the Battleship New Jersey was over in Camden by the aquarium?
Currently in dry dock for repairs.
Tb12 is in there
I think the USS New Jersey is still in chester
It’s currently in dry dock two streets west of the aircraft carrier.
I hear Wally Gator got mistakenly released into the swamp with the other alligators, thing is you just can't release a domesticated animal into the wild with wild animals, the other alligators probably beat the shit out of Wally the first day
Simple solution: ban people who sell their playoff tickets from buying season tickets.
ed snyder did great for philly.....but dont many of the flyers players live in mj? lets go devils from finland
No one lives in MJ
