I am SO thrilled to see this reopening...and The Zager artwork reveal is just magical!!! Not the biggest fan of the steaks...but LOVE the art and vibe. That's why I usually have a steak sandwich when I'm bumping around South Street!!! I have been a Huge fan of Zager's work!!!

Jim’s is the best cheesteak in Philly was really sad when it burned down. Had to goto Angelo’s for awhile but can’t wait to go for my regular at Jim’s.
John’s is great. I still think Angelo’s is king since they moved in but it’s already hella busy and often when that happens, the quality suffers. Love the videos, Capt. Go Phils. Ya’ll need to come up with something to get Casty going. Going to Mets game next week. Maybe I’ll shoot up there and say, “Heeeeeeere we aaaaare!!”

The Original Jim's on 63rd Street, well right off 63rd was the best!!!! The two older black ladies used to hook me and my Dad's steaks up!!!! Don't even know if that one is still open. That was great you could sit and eat a steak and drink a cold one. Then head over to Moroni's water ice. That was on the overbook section. But John's Roast Pork is the Best ever though

Jim’s was the best when it was only Jim’s. Steaks area novelty. Ishkabibbles is right down the street, and better than Jim’s.

@@ThePhillyCaptain their steak is twice the size. Jim’s are on shorty rolls. Good for tourists and non locals. The only thing that was good about Jim’s was when they sold beer. Although, they are better that Genos and Pats. Let’s keep it real, Cap.
Size doesn’t matter the sandwich taste like dogfood. Ishkabibbles is worst than Geno’s.

I'm sorry captain but your really over hyping that steak. John's is nice and all but not that nice. The steak is bland and sometimes undercooked
