Dunno if anyone cares but if you're bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks :)
I found a "home remedy" for rabbits. Using Irish Spring soap, cut it into 1.5 to 2" cubes. Put a cube or two in a scrap piece of fabric (the toe of an old sock works great). Tie up the top and attach it strategically to your garden fence around the perimeter. The rabbits don't like the smell and they stay away. It's worked in my garden for years. It also deters the deer. The soap lasts the entire season and don't need replacing until the following Spring.
Late this morning because I’ve been in my yard since 6 am! Congratulations to the winners! Lucky kids! 👍🏼💝 Your garden is filling in beautifully! Your videos are inspiring me to get more organized. Spring Color really inspires! Today, took out Calendulas, Angel wing begonias, evolulus, redid a succulent tapestry, planted montbrecia bulbs. Off to buy gardenias to plant in the front entry. Have a wonderful day,,Gardeners! 🌱
I just want you to know how lucky you are. Not only is it colder than normal here in Columbus, OH, we also can't even plant our plants right after Mother's Day. It is a bummer. However, I'm grateful to see all the flowers on your show. Thank you so much.
You're the man, Jim! I was taking a walk this week on the shores of Lake Huron here in Michigan, and all of a sudden a super strong scent hit me, and I see this 8ft bush blooming. I had no idea what it was, but with the strong winds I could smell it from 15 feet away as if my nose was in it. It must be Viburnum...Great as always, my man!
For hose guards in my garden, I haVE GOTTEN FIREPLACE NDIRONS FROM GARAGE SALES. tHEY HAVE INTERESTING SHAPES AND ARE OLD AND RUSTY. i LOVE THE WAY THEY WORK AND LOOK. Opps, I hit the caps button... 😜
Congratulations to the winners!! Jim - love your videos. Your landscape is absolutely beautiful. My local family owned garden center is definitely reaping the benefits of your videos.
New to your channel and a new homeowner as well. I've got one side of my backyard that is chain link and the cost of lumber is outrageous so I decided to plant shade plants. You inspired me with my choices. Your yard is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
You are so right about lumber prices. We had to replace a lot of deck boards and wow were we shocked at what the wood cost. Everything is really looking good in your garden. I always love seeing how things are coming along😊❤️😊
Love the idea of using boulders with a flat rock between to allow for a stepping stone and hose stop. Definitely going to borrow that idea this afternoon in one of my Daylily beds.
This is amazing. More drone pictures, please. Those little pansies sure make a statement all grouped together. Now a question. Do you have every thing planned out? where you're going to put a particular annual? Or are you like most of us who buy the plants and then figure out where to put them.
I'm addicted to you UA-cam channel. My "2021 yard budget" has been blown out of the water as a result but I'm having fun planning out pollinator beds as a border on my tiny lot. I really need help with what grows well in poor sandy soil down here in the Sandhills (zone 8).
Hey Jim, when you get ready to lay your stepping stones, can you video that please. I want to do that in my yard and would like to see how you do it. Thx. Love your videos!
Raleigh is a great area and nice for growing zone! I'm 30° colder than you in zone 5b. I'd take my time buying that wood too, right now! Thanks for your wonderful informative videos! 😊🙌
Thanks for the inspiration. I see lots of garden designers with big gardens planting in masses with waves of the same plant. But I have a small garden and my design is based on the “it was on sale at the end of season so I found a spot for it” approach. I know you have a logical method to your purchases and placements, but I might just start saying I’m a plant collector like Jim Putnam.
I am going to plan SO MANY MORE pansies in my garden next year. How do you keep voles from destroying your plant roots? I lost some perennial salvia, a weigela, and a butterfly bush to the voles, and I am trying to save 2 chindo viburnums from severe root damage. Thanks, Jim!
Landscape is looking great! I set up irrigation for the first time ( using one of your videos 👍), it runs beautifully however it continues to run when it's suppose to be off. I have to manually shut it off, any ideas what could be causing this? I have an orbit timer.
I’m not either, Judy, I’m in Southern California. We have many of the same plants, but not all. However, I had tomato plants growing in December and my geraniums only get bigger. We have to Bloom where we are Planted, Dear One. 😍🙏🏼🪴
I love how you planted that clematis between those boulders. When you said that was your plan, I couldn't imagine it; looks great without the need for a finicky trellis. Your garden is delightful without being fussy. Question: do your agapanthus bloom all summer? I have two blue (would love more), but I seem to only get a short bloom time here in coastal Virginia Beach. Thanks.
I have the new azelea double pink perfecto mundo. I bought it and planted it as directed. I live in Florida and placed them in a sunny shade area. But in just a few days, the blooms are turning dark brown ?
Zone 9a, TX Gulf Coast area. I have 2 Ruby Slippers Oakleaf hydrangeas. I planted them last year in dappled shade. They have put on lots of beautiful new growth and look good, but no blooms forming. Could it be they arent getting enough sun? I was nervous to plant them in more sun because our summer sun is brutal.
Always appreciate your videos! With having a larger lot, have you ever considered planting more in mass? In some videos, it seems as if items are spread so far apart rather than larger drifts for bigger moments.
I have a Plantsbymail.com giveaway to announce next week. Thanks for watching 😊!!
Jim, I have sent you an email, hopefully I am the Irina A in the azalea winners 🤞thank you for the giveaways

@Leonard Thiago Yup, I've been watching on Instaflixxer for since december myself =)

You’ve done so much in the short time you’ve been at the new house! It’s looking wonderful!

Gardens looking good and nice craftsmanship on the fence. 🌸

Loving the stonework! Has given me some ideas for our very flat subdivision lot
Congratulations to the azalea winners. 🎉💐

Simply stunning Jim 🪴🌺🪴
Your garden is glorious and such an inspiration!
Love your Blue Ivory, going to have to look for that one. Everything looks fantastic of course, simply breathtaking. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
The snapdragons look great! Lots of diversity in your garden.
You are such an inspiration!
Thank you!

Love love again your channel always look forward to seeing it!! Thanks Jim!!
Thank you for your knowledge. I can't wait to get my own ground to plant in. Right now just propagating everything I want to.
Please do a video on a day in a dog’s life! Would love to see playtime with both of the pups 🤗
Would love to see how you give the haircut to the sunshine ligustrums. I have three in very similar shape. I love their color.
I'll gladly take one of those azaleas you got in the front flower bed. Might be a problems getting it to Oklahoma however
Great progress!! Looking great!

Get what ya like and move it if needs moving. 😊

@m04f04m thk you! Will check the timer, it's connected to a hose .
☹️☹️☹️ I’m sad that I’m not local. I wish I had your ability to make my garden look as beautiful as your.💚🙃

I love this channel. But I live in zone 9. Any recommendations for gardeners here on YT or on Instagram to follow in zone 9?
Does the pink clematis on the front fence have a name? I adore clems.
Look forward to your UA-cam videos !! Thank you !! I have never seen a Tree form Azeleas, where do you find those ?
What is your “style” of gardening called? I’ve heard of cottage/informal style, formal, modern, Mediterranean, coastal, etc.
Living in 5b, I have a florist azalea (Rhododendron simsii I suppose?) that I grow indoors for 5+ years. Can encore azaleas be grown indoors?
Love watching your piece of heaven develop!! We are doing the same!! We’re those calix (sedge) in those pots you did?
Is your calla lily in shade or full sun?
I have the new azelea double pink perfecto mundo. I bought it and planted it as directed. I live in Florida and placed them in a sunny shade area. But in just a few days, the blooms are turning dark brown ?
What is the epic purple shrub tree thing in center at 7:25?

I'm on a tiny 2/10 of an acre lot. I would definitely plant in large groupings for most people, but I am a plant collector really.
@@JimPutnam This makes sense! Thank you.
A blue hydrangea... as I continue my attempts of correcting Chlorosis on every plant I own in the alkaline river soils of New Orleans 😜
Le quiero hacer una pregunta :

Can we get an update on the serviceberry and treeform hydrangea?
I'll include them next week!
will those azaleas survive in a zone 6B?
About half of the encore varieties are hardy in zone 6.
Remember to hit the like 👍🏻 button
Encore Azaleas are not good looking. It blooms many seasons but what good if it does not look good?
Mine look great. I have 7 different ones
