I literally cried when I heard this tune for the first time. The entire message just hit me so hard. It's very "human" to be aware of your flaws, and yet still be completely unable to fix them. Sometimes the best we can do is learn how to live with our flaws.

How has fiw became such a good thing that some of my favorite songs are based on it's concepts. Damn this song is nice
This hit me in ways I can't begin to explain easilly.
My mind is like a machine, I can't turn it off. I don't know how anyone else can, but it is sometimes insufferable, othertimes it's frustrating that people can't keep up.
When I was a kid some 25 odd years ago because I couldn't handle my emotions very well, I tried putting them in a box. I don't know if l lost my emotion to love and to be loved, or whether I ever fully had it to begin with. But I am well aware I have imperfections both emotionally and physically. I know I've felt love, but at 37 i can say I've never found anyone who cared about me enough to love me back. (save for my parents and their love has always been difficult and complicated).
I did find someone I truly love but they won't talk to me. I can relate to wanting to be reset, maybe to not be aware of some of my imperfections. To be able to turn my brain off.
Listening to it was painful, but also a reminder that as a human I am capable of pushing myself out of my place where I am stuck. instead of wandering a lone wasteland. But no matter what I do, it won't bring love back to me. Because the one who now holds my heart won't even talk to me to resolve our friendship. I get that she blames me, but I don't know what I did that upset her so much. Maybe I'm just too much of a machine to understand something I haven't had explained to me.
You know... It's really bizarre that you can just hop onto the internet, listen to a pony song, and find someone else with a similar story to yourself... I was recently forced to leave a friend group that I'd been with for years because all of a sudden, I felt I was no longer welcome, and it turns out I was right. I made some serious mistakes that I never noticed until it was too late, and even now, most of those mistakes don't jump out at me as something that feel wrong. I burned those bridges myself, but to me, it's like they had been struck by lightning and burned out all on their own, with no fault from either side.
I've since moved on and found a different friend group, but scars don't heal that easily. Every now and then, my mind will wander back to the "good ol' days", to the friends I left behind, even if they don't think of me as a friend. It's like a constant reminder that I screwed up that shows up in regular intervals, like an alarm clock waking me up from a pleasant dream and telling me to get ready for a day of dwelling on the past.
To be honest though, I didn't relate to this song as immediately, because that's just who I am. I am _dense._ I need a clear explanation of what something means before I get it through my thick skull. That's the reason I'm in this mess in the first place after all... But after seeing this comment and listening again, it all hit me at once.
I'm trying to take steps to become a better person, more self-aware and able to tell what is and is not okay without needing to write a research paper on the subject. That road is... a lot more difficult than I thought it'd be at first... Guess we're all a little more imperfect than we first thought. I wish you luck in your endeavors. And... thank you for giving this song new meaning to me.

I’ve recently hit a milestone in my brony music playlist after finally discovering you among several others a few years back. I’m currently sitting at 321 songs, although a few are repeats (like individual songs from pink side of the moon) or demo versions of official songs 😅. I really appreciate you going through these older underrepresented tracks as i missed out on far too much music-wise in the early days of the fandom by mainly watching the show and the occasional jhaller or Dawn Somewhere vid or someone else’s work.

As someone who regularly struggles with finding my way in life, and always taking it hard when I fail at something, this song really puts to words what I feel some days. This is a really wonderful song that I’ll be sure to listen to for months from now on!

My heart has been broken again. Poor Sweetie Bot...
Edit: I imagine this song is when Sweetie Bot has an accident, she runs away from her friends and the town, who are afraid of her.
She wanders in a mostly barren field far outside the town and sings this, crying to the sky about how lost, alone and scared she is.
"I thought, I thought, if I tried hard enough, someday, I'd find my own wiiiill. I fought, I *fought* with everything I had, but still, my heart is still...How could I have, gone on for so long, not knowing that I was straaaange? Why would my maker, make me aware of a flaw, that I can't chaaaaaaaaange?!" The final verse is where the tear lights illuminate as she is prone on the ground and screaming her mechanical heart out.
"I am imperfectiooooon! I know that I am flaaaawed! Can someone...*anyone*...please...help me find the life that I have loooooost? I am limitatioooon! I know that I can't exceeeeed! Is there any hope for a broken bot like meeee?"
Then she crawls to a stream flowing nearby.
"Is there any hope for..."
And sees her reflection, not a pony, but a machine. A fake. A copy of somepony who never existed.
"A heart...that...can...nooooot.....bleeeeeeed?"
The tear tubes break. One drop falls into the stream and carries it away.
Applebloom and Scootaloo catch up to her, they reconcile and reveal their own secrets: Scootaloo is a Changeling who is living the life of the real Scootaloo, who died some years ago from Wingrot, hence why her wings were so small, and Applebloom is a Werepony who was forced to keep her form a secret from even her close friends to avoid a panic like the one Sweetie Bot caused.
This song is absolutely beautiful, I love how it tones into a perfection, this art is beautiful looking, this makes me emotional and wanna cry, I miss the good old days, but at least we still have you UcU
I know this isn't the lyric, but I still hear "a heart that cannot beat" Instead of "a heart that cannot be" It just hits me a bit harder. Love this song.

A lot of brony songs are incredible works of art. Sure to repost them by themselves, most would have to adjust to alter the word pony for another more generic identifying term, but A Lot of mlp songs honestly deserve to get reposted as their own thing for credit by a wider audience. Some songs like this one don't even include the word pony and would stand by themselves if posted as their own thing under different cover'art. I can respect the inspiration, but still; could have music under the mini'horse fandom AND nonfandom musical interest.

Funny enough, BlueBrony told me that he debated heavily on that lyric. It was originally going to say "beat", but he switched to "be" for the final version.
