The line "Or wait another day" really makes me happy. It doesn't feel like the typical "Woo flying is awesome you gotta fly" song. It feels like there is no judgement, it's ultimately up to Scootaloo what she wants to do, and Rainbow loves her either way
I've had the honor of playing with Tarby years ago. This is a person that is the steven wilson of the brony fandom. The music from them is just my absolute favorite! I have Everfree poster on the wall in my studio. Tarby is my all time favorite artist in the brony fandom.
I was about to ask if he is doing fine, if we could know if doing well, or even if he is alive... Then I saw a comment made on his own video 10 months ago I guess he's just bussy then, great talent, I hope he comes back sometime...
Listening to all the song covers you’ve been making lately is like listening to a talented musician performing their playlist for you. For someone who joined the fandom recently these are introducing me to songs I wouldn’t otherwise have known about :)
@@AidanWR as someone who joined later, a lot of those amazing songs inevitably came up to me due to their popularity, but there are so many smaller songs that did not rise to the same level that 4everfree's copycat albums are finally introducing me to and I loveee it
The melody sound so gentle like a breeze really descripe the scene in a music way . The lyric is so interesting , kinda like Scootaloo earned the wing from Goddess , become new member of Angel
I remember this one even more than most - the unique combination of almost sad or melancholy sound and the inspirational lyrics really struck me and it has become one of my favorites on that album.
so I'm someone that used to be a brony nearly a decade ago (damn time flies), and I remember I used to listen to some of the chants you made long ago, and I wanted to listen to them for nostalgic reasons. So I check your channel and I still see you are still making music for the fandom and I'm just kind of in awe in a way. Even after all this time you are still passionate for a fandom that I left a long time ago. I find it kinda charming in a way you are still passionate about this show/fandom after all these years. Hope you continue doing what you enjoy and thanks for some good memories you gave me so many years ago.
I don’t think anyone really leaves the fandom. They just get busy with life and other things. To truly leave the fandom would mean you reject pony and find your time in the fandom distasteful and unmentionable. Most people I talk to still have good feels and nostalgia for the show and their time in the fandom. It’s like Star Wars, you never stop being a fan you just get busy and suddenly you find yourself in Disneyland in the Star Wars area geeking out and buying $200 lightsabers you don’t need just so you can relive that time you had back in the day.
@@DaisyAzurasYeah, I check back now and again. The fandom was the thing I needed to give myself permission to feel joy again which I hadn't noticed was being witheld. I held on to it like a blissful life preserver which carried me out of depression. Once I had my own feet under me again, I didn't check in as often over time. I will always be a brony however far from it I drift because it's a part of me now.
I haven’t really been a part of this fandom for almost eight years now, but your music continues to beckon me back to a time not-so-long ago and reminding me of the good times I had as a Brony. This show truly was special to me and a lot of other people, and your music reminds me of that. Thanks for continuing to carry the flame of the show’s spirit through all these years.
I totally feel the same way, this fandom has been the most awesome thing ever happen to me, the show, bring to me some very nice brony friends, when we used to join every saturday to watch the new episode, and mixing up with the cool music made by musicians bronys, its just so cool.
I listened to the Tarby version of this song when it first came out, and only really listened to it for about a year or two. I'd completely forgotten about it until now, but hearing those words it was like I hadn't forgotten them at all. What a beautiful composition that takes the mind right back in time to earlier days. It was like meeting an old friend again after a decade.
Oh! My! World! THIS is not only going in my ponies favorite, but in my personal favorites music list AND my very favorite of favorites playlist! Wow!!! THIS!!!♥️
I remember finding Tarby on UA-cam back in the summer of 2011. I was astounded by the level of music he was making in the fandom back then. I collected everything he had and contacted him and asked for demos he hadn’t released. I used to have so much of his stuff before my hard drive crashed. I made fan art of his songs and even submitted album artwork for his album Everfree. I saw him play live only once in Hollywood and I regret not flying to eastern cons to see him play. I wish he’d come back and play at BabsCon since he lives only 3 or 4 hours away from it.
It's not a 4EverfreeBrony cover song without an amazing guitar solo. You did an amazing job with this cover, the song was awesome and thanks for making me know about older songs in the fandom.
I really like the lyrics after the guitar solo 4:07. Especially the ending verse. I don't know why but I find something special in them. Really good song. I delved into this album only recently and I love these covers.
Just came here to say this songs no longer on Spotify. Makes me really sad. Loved listening to it. I can still listen to it here of course. But having it on Spotify to download was very convenient.
The unreleased demo for The Wings You've Earned that was supposed to be part of Forever Broken has been one of my fave songs from Tarby, so seeing this pop up in my notifications was a lovely surprise ^^ Obviously, the context here is not as bleak as on Forever Broken, but I kinda appreciate that for this incredibly sweet rendition. It's like a musical comfort blanket~
I wish Tarby would just write forever broken. It was a great concept and I really enjoyed all the demos he did. If I was rich I’d pay him to work on that album.
These two make the perfect sisters!😊 Just wished that they could have become *offcial* sisters though if Bow and Windy (Rainbow's parents) had adopted Scootaloo, that would have been wonderful.... #TheBestSistersEver #Scootalove #TheDashFamily #RainbowDash #Scootaloo
This came up on my playlist while I was reassuring another trans person who was so much newer to all this, and worried if she was faking and all that... And afterwards, I looked up the lyrics and yeah, that hits. Thanks again for another song that moves my heart, 4everfreebrony! And to the original writers, too!
Not a bad quote from da Vinci, considering that he never achieved flight himself (except perhaps in a TARDIS). This song reminds me of an ElfQuest filk-song featuring Skywise ("A Wolfrider's Reflections" by Julia Ecklar).
While listening to the song I remember all of Scootaloos hardships and achievements. Scootaloo deserved to fly, but she gives a pretty good example for how to deal with you dream never come true. She was very fine in the last episodde, that's what counts. :)
What's crazy is that the show displayed multiple examples of technology with which Scootaloo's dream could have come true (hang glider, Tank's propeller, prosthetic wing, etc.), but never the briefest mention that she might benefit from any of that.
no no no muffin off. why is most of your songs makes my male heart weep. you are one of the greatest bard i have the pleasure to ever here. songs of joy and songs of sorrow continue singing your songs bard until you're dying days.
Aww... You got me excited for a Tarby cover. Wait, Tarby actually did the cover and it got deleted? I didn't even know. His Nightmare Moon was a super blast! What ever happened to him?
I have a question, about your castle logo. Is the logo in reference to the part of the bible saying 'my god is my fortress'? I noticed it on the Sweater, while reading the intro quote, and it made me wonder.
