I agree with Dillon here. This is a simple cocktail bar. Nothing about it is impressive. These are the things I would have stocked a bar with if I had the money to in college. The selection leaves a lot to be desired.
Kind of reminds me of a bar you might see in an airport restaurant, where spirits really aren't the main focus but they have a few sippers and some cocktail stuff. Some airport bars are way nicer of course and have a lot more options for sipping spirits, but others feel more like this
Per Dillon's request - I would rate his bar a 4. It is what I would expect to find a someone's house - you know the place - the person who you really do not know, but has been bugging to to stop by for a drink. Though, I bet this is Arnold's STUNT bar.
Before my score, I believe that bottle with the cross might be some variant of Zwack Unicum, it doesn't look quite right but it's very close. I'm tempted to give his bar a 3 but, because he has Dolin vermouth and Chartreuse, I'll bump it to a 4, more or less everything else that I can make out ranges from bad to middling. It's tempting to deduct even more for all of the bad quality agave spirits like Padre, Illegal, and Lobos. I considered the pear brandy for a minute but then I remembered that he's German and that's common for them.
The standards of spirit nerds are too high. I'd give Arnie bonus points for the physical bar itself, the skull-themed décor, and the variety of glassware. Points deducted for the apparent lack of liquor organization and poor storage of the vermouth. While the bar wouldn't satisfy us spirits nerds, it offers flexibility to accommodate a lot of tastes, either for spirits or cocktails. For the spirit nerd, this is a 3/10. For the rest of us, this is a 6/10.
Arnold: " Dutch! Jules! get back to tha choppah!" "I have to stay and crush this little asian man's hand for shaming my favorite juice in Gentleman Jack." "Actually it is 2nd favorite juice because MUSCLESSssssaaahhhhhgggHhhhhH KROM!!!!" *sips Gentleman Jack with an ice cube and pulls Mr.Dillon close to him and whispers in Dillon's ear "its.just. so. smoothHHHHArrgh KROM!!"
This is tough. If this was a random bar in a random house, this is an 8. Beautiful bar, all the key liquors, nice glassware. For a celebrity, this is 2. The quality of the alcohol is just very poor. So I’ll split the difference and go 5.
Maybe half the bar is hidden. But I didn't see a single rum, brandy, rye, Luxardo. I also find it odd to have Yellow Chartreuse over Green. For someone that loved Gentleman Jack, I'd try to get them to buy the regular Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. But for someone like Arnold, I'd make him get Michter's 10. I don't think Michter's is worth the money, but to Arnold that's still a cheaper bottle than Evan Williams black label would be to me.
It's a nice looking bar with a good selection of glassware. The liquor, while not high end, is varied and plentiful so most guests are going to be well satisfied. Since Dutch said 0 to 10, where 0 is no bar at all, I think 6 is appropriate.
Bar score is a 5. He has all of the basics to make a drink and or have a pour neat. I would probably go for a pour of the Jefferson's Ocean and I would recommend a bottle of Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend.
I know that Bourbon Junkies did something similar, but you guys could also have members send in photos of their bars and you do the same thing. OR do this with the three of your bars. I want to see the wide variety of mixers that Jules has for his 3 bottles.
For scoring THIS BAR. I think it depends on how much weight you have on the bar itself, the bottles, and the variety of bottles. My personal scale would be a 4, 4, 2... I think I would score a 3,0,2. So a 5. The bar itself is really nice quality and great presentation. It’s not an average home bar, but it’s not the most impressive home bar out there. He has everything to make cocktails and there is a ton of glassware so the variety is a 2. The bottles are a 0, the fact that he has bottles goes into the variety score, but the quality of them is low for him. Even for a guest bar, you would want to have some mid/high tier quality along with the low quality for mixing. Really, how disappointed would you be, if you were invited to Arnold’s house, and your best options are 4 roses small batch, and glenlivet 12... still I think Dillon is being a little harsh on this, maybe we need a grading scale like the Ultimate Spirits Competition scoring?
I agree with Dillon. 2 was my rating. There's nothing there to pour but the 4roses small batch. Other than shots of Tequila. I'd do the Glen 12yr neat.
Sorry, but I am going to have to flag you guys for being spirits nerds...this is a great bar. 1st off, it looks like its in the family room (you can see the kitchen and dining room over his shoulder). Its not the mancave bar in the basement. That counts for something right off the start. OK, he doesn't have much for sipping, but this bar is clearly focused on cocktails. The glassware ranges from collins glasses to double old fashions and shot glasses. There notably is not a single glencairn or other tasting glass in sight. And the bottles are all decent quality mixers. That doesn't make it a bad bar, just a different one from what we would build. He may not be all that interested in sippers. Or this may literally be the bar for cocktails before dinner, and he's got the good stuff somewhere else in the house, probably next to an insane walk in humidor. Me, I only have a small bar cart in this same role. It's at least a 6/10. BTW, the black bottle is a Zwack Liqueur.
If Arnie invites me to his home bar and offer me to grab one, then I will definitely grab Yamazaki 25 at the minimum. Heck, make it Yamazaki 55 if he has one in his home bar 😂
I’m just not sure of the bar look Arnold is going for. I look at the motif on the left in the background and it all seems like a collage of different styles. Now if he had some biker chicks on the bar stools wearing nothing but leather vests than I’d know.
If this were an average person, that bar is like an 8/10 But for a Celebrity, someone who has access to more disposable income than most, and is also given many products for free...that bar is a 1/10...it's a mega fail...he clearly does not view spirits as enjoyable the same way he enjoys cigars, and only has the bar because when you are wealthy you are supposed to have a bar.
The gold color scheme has to go. Looks dated. Honestly, I have a much h better selection of booze than he does, and I don't have a bar; just bottles laying around wherever I can find room. Step up your game Arnie!
I think after hearing these scores we should get a tour of all the boys bars and see everyone’s set up.
I’m a simple guy, I see Curiosity Public upload, I watch
loved this guys, when I'm listening to your podcasts, sometimes i wished I was able to see you guys talkin about it too for some reason lol
The cannonball bottle is called Unicum. It’s similar to jägermeister. Pretty common in Germany.
I agree with Dillon here. This is a simple cocktail bar. Nothing about it is impressive. These are the things I would have stocked a bar with if I had the money to in college. The selection leaves a lot to be desired.

This exactly
Agreed 👍

I agree totally.... Get out of dayre....get to da ciggah bah
I think the "royal salute" one is actually Unicum, which is a hungarian bitter
I was about to say I thought it was Zwack, but then I googled it and realized they were the same thing.
The skull head is Padrè tequila the single barrels are store picks and can be amazing!

Agreed. Probably around 95% of people don't have more than a couple bottles in their house, let alone a full bar setup.

Looks like he has some Crystal Head vodka that you guys overlooked.

I’d give it a 5. The bar itself is beautiful but the juice on it is just ok.
You should do Stallone’s bar. He has like 50 pappys.
Maybe half the bar is hidden. But I didn't see a single rum, brandy, rye, Luxardo. I also find it odd to have Yellow Chartreuse over Green.

Also a design stylist ran out to buy those unopened bourbon and Gins..just ran to the local big box before the shoot to set it up like Arnie is cool.

Really enjoyed this one guys! Keep these coming. I also agree with Dillon 3
The next episode should be showing us your bar. That would be awesome!
You should rate bar pics that people send you, I’d watch the hell out of that series.
He should create his own brand of tequila, Depredador
Seems solid. I say a 7 because I like all the skulls.
Arnold's bar looks like he went to a duty free shop in the airport and bought what was on display for each type of spirit.
I honestly thought a 2 or 3?
Yeah I thought so too, just judging by the bottles he owns.
If I had a chance to drink anything at that bar I might pick water.
I agree with Dillon. 2 was my rating.
There's nothing there to pour but the 4roses small batch.
Other than shots of Tequila.
I'd do the Glen 12yr neat.

Good call on the Zwack, I came here to comment this, makes sense that Arnie would have an Eastern European product on his bar.
Just because someone is rich and famous doesn't necessarily mean they have good taste .
Bingo. Just look at any rapper's house.
If Arnie invites me to his home bar and offer me to grab one, then I will definitely grab Yamazaki 25 at the minimum. Heck, make it Yamazaki 55 if he has one in his home bar 😂
Been wanting to ask. (Give it a few videos)
What happened to the 4th guy??🤔

@@CuriosityPublic I hate that. But thank u

a four, would be a 2 but the 4 roses small batch bumps it up a bit
Different kind of video. Sorta like an episode of Lost. Too many questions. Lol. But to give it a rating on what we see, I’d go with 4.
That’s a Kroger supplied bar.
More reaction videos 👌

Not very impressed. I thought he’d have a better bar. My bar is better. C’mon Arnie, you can do better.
My bar is weak and still better than that...lol
