Wow !!! Thanks so much for sharing. Being able to watch a whole gig like this answers so many little questions and is so helpful. Just spectacular, THANKS 🙏
Mr. Taylor Mitchell, it is an honor to hear from you. If you notice, I was the one who fixed his floor Tom.... I have an autograph copy of, "Notes and Tones." " Drums is Like A Woman" A.T. and Pair of his Drum sticks and was witness to
It’s from the early ‘90s, probably 1992 or thereabouts. He has an album live at the Vanguard, released in ‘92, with similar personnel. And he played the Vanguard pretty regularly from the time he put this version of Taylor’s Wailers together (late ‘80s or start of the 1990s, after coming back to NYC following @ 20 years in Europe) until near his death in 1995. Terrason was a regular member of the band; I don’t recall the great Walter Bishop Jr. playing in it but that would be awesome-a peer of AT’s as well as the young bloods. I haven’t watched through the whole video so haven’t seen the pianist here yet.
Pianist is a Walter Bishop jr..great footage, one of the rarest from AT..that’s a real holy grail for us!thanks for sharing!
Do you know the other musicians?
Tyler Mitchell bass ,Abraham Burton alto sax,not sure about pianist bus must be Jackie Terrasson
He says Jackie in the video yes.
Such power and authority he played with! Also look at how fluid his hands are.
Absolutely gold!! Fantastic to see his hands!!!

Could be the recording....but that is one of the worst ride cymbals ever, but played by one of the finest drummers ever.
It’s the recording. It’s probably the mic from the static camera setup. The whole thing is blown out but still, the music’s super intense. 🤷🏻♂️
How is the first tune called?
Mr. A.T.
