I’d be in heaven if NSW had places like this to go to gido. You have the most amazing stretches of coastline to explore and fish. I’m envious beyond words mate.
Gido operates out of Albany 4hr south of Perth. Some awesome rock fishing down the south coast like Gido shows. Closer to Perth fishing like this doesn't exist at least NSW has alot of ledge fishing opportunities for tuna and mackerel.
As I watcher I always love your videos!!! What I am guilty of is hitting that thumbs up and liking the video. So I finally figured it out; hit that button as soon as you start watching it, this way you will not forget to hit that like button. Especially if you already know you will enjoy it. Thanks again from Hawaii!!!
I heard about the mythical blue groper as a kid, 60+ years ago. I have bait fished in Albany waters and surrounds several times but never saw one or caught one. I am in awe each time you pull one onto the rocks with such ease and frequency! Blackbums on the other hand I've caught plenty! I love to eat them straight from theocean, in butter with garlic and onion! Panko's a new way for me to try! Always a pleasure to watch your adventures, even the super long ones!
I miss all the island fishing i used to do between albany n Esperance...... u making me miss home in Rocko dude! And the beach fishin between whitehills n tims thicket for mulloway. Thank u Gideon for all this. Man i miss fishing
What a treat...a long vid from Gido!! Loved the great night sky...fantastic. my dream to see all those stars, but I'm allergic to mozzies. Thank you for taking us along on this epic adventure. ❤👍👍
the shots in this one, the fish following in, the night horizon shot... some of the best ive ever seen any where. not just great fishing but your incredible journalist as well, just had to say. cheers !
@Gido, welcome back mate, another cracking fishing spot and loads of fun. Went beach fishing on Saturday morning on the weekend. Got some sand whiting on light tackle (the surf caster lasted all of about 4 casts before i packed it back up) good fun tbh. I did hear some distressing rumours that people are running up and down the beaches south of Perth with hauling nets catching everything in the middle of the nigth, meaning we are missing out on catching these fish ourselves. Heading to the same spot tonight as tide is high around 9pm. Tight Lines mate.
Really love watching your vids really cool gold water stuff and you really have it together excellent fly rod stuff . Thanks for the video's looking forward to the next 😂
Man just watching that first fish strip line thru your hand is NUTS. Then watching you just lean back on that fly rod is way cool. So much power fish and rod
Great video again. Just love these while been surrounded by 1/2 meter of snow and waiting spring & summer to arrive. Coming fall will make a fishing trip to Australia. Your vids helps for this itchy uppatience to leave the snowy country behind me and leave immediately to Australia..
Awesome episode. I feel I got multiple episodes all in one. Thanks for putting this epic length episode for us. Glad you got enough fish to eat and take home.
greetings from germany. been in oz about 12 years ago and would have loved to know the things I learned from you. back then it was only enough for some squids, which we enjoyed heaps nontheless. amazing content, amazing landscape. looking forward to the next adventure. keep them coming (in your pace) and all the best to you and your family. I love it :)
Gido, another awesome trip. Id love you to do a video on all gear used on trip, camera gear, batterie systems, boat, sleep systems ect. Pretty interesting.
Great video Gido , the effort you go through for our entertainment is next level, I now you enjoy it 😜 . Drone footage was exceptional and site fishing for the Grouper was brilliant, keep up the good work mate 👏👏👏👌
Awesome video thanks Gido, great to have a long one, special stuff out there with the night sky and rhe landscape, your a lucky man, will look forward to the next one hope its soon.
Hi Gido. Love what you've done. Can't add much except one tiny bit of help. Noticed at the end the Merc wouldn't start until 3rd pull so being a 2 stroke, don't muck around with mineral based mixing oils.... use a good quality synthetic 2 stroke oil. Will 'cold start' every time with 1st attempt. For your own safety and wellbeing, mate. We all want you back!

Great video. It brought back lots of very happy memories of my younger days. But I was just wondering if you have ever tried using the "Mirage Rock Hopper" boots. They are rubber booties with tungsten spikes embedded in the soles. You can walk on just about any surface and there is little to no chance of slipping.
this is so fascinating, just watched a whole hour and it felt like 5 min. This is the kind of life i want to live, i love adantures but here in germany is something like this impossible. To fish you even need a certificat which you get from a school and its need to rewnew ever few years. They took this beautiful life from us...
Excellent few days in another top spot. Have you thought about getting some of those wheels on to your transom? I'm building a small 14 foot light weight composite dinghy exactly for this type of fishing/camping and I'm gonna get a pair of those wheels, makes life so much easier and easier on the boat. Although plastic boats handle it better still makes it easier to move
Yes I have thought about it. Unfortunately the boat is heavy(180kg just the hull) but im sure it would still help. And being heavy I know its tough at least
Plenty going on in this trip Gido, i enjoy watching the fly fishing and getting the lure on the right spot etc, the awesome locations and good fishing make for top viewing 🎣👍
While waiting ya vid just couldn’t help but think hmm pulling the plastic fantastic ship onto the rocks at the beginning bear foot hmmm sea eggs 😵 buggers to dig out too lucky & yeah I’m typing this & the vid is only a quarter way through Sargent baker thanks buttt no thanks ha well back to the vid 😎👍🏄♂️😉
Do you see many Whites while landbased fishing down your way? I think I seen one only for a very brief moment just off the little island right side of Bettys beach.
Hehe yes i was on kangaroo island camping years ago i caught 7 nice size KG whiting and i had no esky i had to eat them all that night my nickname was 14 fillets for a while! that was a big plate of fish :P

Woke up at 430 am stressed from work. Open you tube. BANG. Gido 5 days over an hour vid. Day just got a whole lot better right there. Brilliant
Mate, you must have the most patient and understanding family.
I think the issue is that most people have very impatient & not-understanding families. 😉
Don't forget that it is most likely his job at this point...
Consistently some of the best fishing content on UA-cam. You take us places that most people can never go. Keep catching those harlequins

Tip for the lemon mate, chuck it in right at the end. Ya can cook the lemon flavour out of it if it simmers with it in too long.
