He did the common 'put you on mute while having another conversation' thing. I used to do that all the time when I got someone yelling at me on the phone, but I think this dude probably was being admonished by a superior, which in this case, is why it went quiet, probably wasn't meeting his scam quota. When that person went away, he just didn't give a fuck and let himself slip for a few moments, then realized what he did so he had to save it. Even in my brief stint in a call center for a cell provider (which I never have and never will do again), the mute button was my friend because I would be dealing with total morons at 4:30 in the morning. I have to say though, I love these videos when you fuck with the scammers! My favorite part was the bit with the syskey...that was awesome! LOL!
