Given the opportunity. Kaidan 34L or Samurai 26L? I’ve had gr2 before and kinda know how it feels, but the samurai finishing is unique on its own. What’s your take ?
Tough call. For me, I prefer the XPac of the Kaidan. The Samurai material is cool, but it is going to patina a lot and fast, and I don't like the way it looks with patina. I like patina with wax canvas and leather, but not a jean like material. Just looks frayed.
I have the GR1 21L & 26L, and the only thing I want to add to the GRs that I have is the quick access pocket. I don’t know what to do. SCARS they quit modifying the quick access pocket to the old GRs. Also, I am living in UAE so even if they are still offering that services it’s not worth it because of the shipping cost. I wish if I can find a professional bag repairing shop locally that I can trust to do this modification. What do you think? Advice please.
Hello! Not sure if leather patch is still available, but my favorite GR bag is this one in the video. Reason being the materials. Same high quality as other GR bags but at a lighter weight and with additional water resistance.

I’d say get the Kaidan V2 that has a quick access pocket.
