    Hi Alex,
    This was a real nice video.
    I really liked the Flight Phantom and the. ANue Nue U3.
    If I had them the U3 would be my travel ukulele and the Phantom would be my play at home and ukulele clubs ukulele.
    Both ukuleles sound nice and seem to be real bargains in the price to performance department.

    Hi finally got to watch it all the way through Alex. Thanks so much for this. I love these types of videos. Not only because they show what's available to buy in the Ukulele world but you can also learn a lot about Ukes watching these videos too. I know a lot of hard work goes into making these videos so thanks again! My favourite was the Millar. However, I think ALL the others were great too at their price point. I love the Concert Ukes in the background especially seeing the aNueNue colour series Ukes. I have one and think it's fantastic! Thanks again. x

    Always fun to watch your videos, Alex.
    You obviously put a lot of work into these videos but still manage to keep them relaxed and personal. Great job!
    I’m partial to the final Enya ukulele. It reminds me of my Kala Flame Maple tenor. Similar shape and they both have that beautiful maple sound!
    Thanks again,
    Wes

    Thanks - I enjoyed that and seeing the variety and what’s available at different price points. After buying one from SuS last week, I’m now a complete Millar convert - the quality of both sound and feel is inspiring. I can’t justify another Millar….can I? Time to start saving my pennies.
    At the lower end of the price scale, I also like the look of the Uma Moon and the Baton Rouge.

    A really good video Alex. I’m not even in the market for a new tenor (waiting for you to get more basses in), but I watched it through and enjoyed your insights.

    Alex thankyou for a wonderful video I am from U.States and am thinking of buying my second uke I am a beginner older and have some special needs because I have small hands. I am disapointed with my first uke a little.It's a Ohana tenor with baritone strings on it. I need the 35 nut and I need very good action.I like the Snail with the arn rest.I just want very much to be able to play it.Can you help me out.YOU also explained on another video about strings like the worth strings being light and medium.I light the bari sound.for folk music,but it seems like the low G tenor might be easier for me to play.I didn't you folks in the u.k.liked the Uke's so much. so popular there with the kids learning and singing in the classroom. SO uplifting and positive. UkuleleWalesandlliyour channel Have eynlightened me.Thanks I may be calling your store soon.Ill have to wright your tel # down.

      I recently showed off the Enya E6. The only other ones I can think of right now that we stock are the Kala travel ukes and the Rebel slimline body models. Will keep that in mind when we have all available at the same time. 👍

      @@gnarly_charleyThe body width is thinner than a normal ukulele. I saw a KoAloha and a Kala being played and they looked awesome.

    Greetings Alex from Texas USA! This is the 2nd time watching this video. Your descriptions, insights and play samples are very helpful. I am enamored by a Snail S20-T 🐌 I have found for private sale. I started playing the ukulele about 3 months ago with an Aklot 23" concert. I have medium hand size, am focusing on strumming (for which I really need help!), and learning chords and placement well. What do you think about the S20-T? Do you have any thoughts about it being a good choice for me? Sorry to be so long-winded! Thanks again for your great videos!

    Hi Alex, here is a question for you. What tenor ukulele would you buy for someone ( intermediate level) as a gift ? Price range : 1,000-1500…. And would you string with high G or low G?

    Hi Alex,
    thank you so much for your videos - really great job!!
    I want to get my first Tenor Ukulele and I like the Enya MAD (currently in Germany 160€) and the Baton Rouge (200€). I started to play some months ago on a really cheap Sopran ;-) In direct comparison - which one would you prefer? Thanks :)

    Thank you for the excellent video. I was wondering what your opinion is on ukuleles using teak for the choice of wood. I've noticed Kala has some teak ukuleles that are fairly affordable for beginners, like the KA-TK-C-CE, KA-TK-T-CE, and the KA-TEAK series, but I haven't seen much discussion regarding them. Is it a bad choice or is teak unpopular for some reason?

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  2 роки тому +3

      It's very heavy and not really a tonewood builders use for acoustic instruments. They might be perfectly nice on those Kalas but we have got a bit sick of the endless stream of cheap laminates Kala have produced the past 2 years so gave them a miss.

    To omit Kala from the list is a sin. Ridiculous great quality for the $! There Petaluma, CA. made instruments are outstanding!

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  2 роки тому

      It's not like we haven't featured Kala in 32 other videos on the channel since 2018.
      Also, I wouldn't say the petaluma made Kalas fall into this category as the starting price for one is roughly the top end price point for what we are looking at in this particular video.
      I have actually owned several Kala Elites and have made reference to how good they are in other videos over the years so don't worry about them not getting fair representation! 😉

      @@SouthernUkuleleStore Ok..True on all counts perhaps. The ukes that you feature are of great quality themselves, and I don't really watch all of your stuff. It just seems odd not to see them on the list- that's all! Geez
