I first got into dsm when my friend loaned me cash because i wanted a car so i found a 2g talon tsi fwd manual i had it for a year fell in love it was side swiped by a drunk driver and lost the car for 2 years i walked and saved i just got the same car for $900 at auction but auto and un molested no shaft play runs perfect has 200k on it but some one has done the gaskets and replaced radiator i went through it and did the usual dsm check list its pretty mint other than mileage i share the same dsm passion you do cheers its good to see these are still alive and kickin ass
@KendamaChris92 Funny. Crankwalk on a 1g is unheard of. Only 5spd manual 2gs have a chance of crankwalk because of the changes they made after 1994 to the 7 bolt, and the flywheel. Pressure when you shift puts additional load on the thrust bearing in the engine, over time, this can result in crankwalk. DOES NOT MEAN It's a sure thing. Yes, it happens, but as Dert666 said, it's a handful of cars and most are misdiagnosed. Phantom knock! That's what we should all fear! This vid is insane!

No we're not. HP is the final determination of thrust. Thrust is acceleration. To make horsepower its torque x rpm / 5252. Torque is just an included derivative.

But i have a 1968 Camaro RS/SS With a 350ci smallblock. 1000cfm carb, Home made glasspack exhaust kit. 250 nos. supercharged. and it has a oversized cam. Irs producing about 650hp. w/o nos. But i use the nos when i race. and there is no cosmetic features. its a sleeper:)
@ls1maro99 that makes no sense. all dyno testing machines should all read accurate and the same no matter which one you go on. if they measure differently by over 50hp as you mentioned, then either of the dynos needs to be recalibrated.

Built 6-bolt with a bolt-on hx40 on a stock intake, bc 272's SD using ecmlink, shep trans, act clutch assemble, e85 ect... My point is that there is no physical way that this car can make more torque that horsepower unless he doesn't rev it pass 5252rpm.... Which on a gt42r on a 2.0 5252rpm would probably just start getting into boost so making peak horsepower at that rpm is impossible as said 100 times before...
Interesting, last night there was def a LH front corner/side shot of what looked to be a white second Gen, angle was weird though...maybe a glitch or old pic?
it's 122 cubic inch...that car is stock body wise, as well as the only DSM made in the USA...this car is easily into the 8 second area with the right driver and final set-up, on pavement of dirt haha AWD...if ppl weren't so overwhelmed by the fact that a 2.0L turbo motor can generate almost 190 AWHP per cylinder and over 370 AWHP per liter, which makes for OVER 850HP@ Crank..well..they would have something to say rather than just snicker...btw i see second gen wheels on your profile pic GET SOME
@Chardiieee If you put a car on a mustang dyno vs a dyno jet the dyno jet is going to read about 15-20% higher. A mustang dyno is also known as the heartbreaker dyno because it reads the lowest. They work enitrely different from eachother.... Do some research...

Just the standard recipe: built engine, sheet metal intake, top mount exhaust manifold, huge intercooler and piping with AEM and enough fuel and voltage to keep up with the demand. If you really want to know more I can share it.
actually no...crankwalk isnt that common,on DSM's, there were a handfull of 95's that had cranwalk issues, 98% of the time someone thinks they have crankwalk,and is actually a misdiagnosed issue, or an issue caused by an underlaying problem, too many people believe what they read or hear without any actually first hand knowledge or experiance on the issue at hand, and another thing, crankwalk isnt a "dsm thing" ANY motor with a crank can have thrust bearing failure causing the crank to "walk",

Sounds right to me, especially with such a big turbo. 38psi isnt that much boost for a 42r either, so 746awhp is plenty. I dont get your logic.
