Hey Nev, I found your chanel a few months ago and have been really enjoying your content. I haven't done any fishing since I was a kid, but you've inspired me to get out there and give it a go. I threw my first line in yesterday and had a great time.

The ultimate budget fishing challenge would be a plastic ring caster handline. I have caught squid, snapper, eels, trout, bream, flathead, tench and carp with a handline from a sit on top kayak and back packing. They are very easy to use. K Mart sells big plastic ring casters with 30lb line for $5 and they also sell a box of 10 Jarvis Walker Squid Jigs for $16, assorted colors and sizes. Would be an interesting budget challenge combination. with a $5 ring caster and a box of Jarvis Walker jigs.
That's a great part of Victoria. You can camp right there and walk to great fishing low or high tide.

A challenge- Putting a video camera on the bottom and fishing in front of it to capture hooking up the fish. There is also a type of camera you can attach to your line that you could buy to help capture extra footage, might be a bit pricey, I haven't checked????

Also maybe look online for a permanent underwater camera that you can mount to your kayak might get you a few great shots

Hey Nev I have a good video idea, how about doing an aliexpress video where you get a combo off Aliexpress and try to catch squid and fish off it. If you make different accounts or new accounts you can get rods and reels for 1 cent including like 30 cent tax. You can also get like 5 lures for under a dollar and 20 soft plastics, theres a lot of great stuff there and it would make a banger video, that wouldn't set you back more than 5 bucks.

How big is the esky you have on the back of your kayak, mate? I'm looking at buying one secondhand just don't want to overdo it!
Don’t get an esky it’s to much space get a scaler bag or a quil to hang of the side that’s what I do and it’s so much lighter and more space
