Also, they're only here for the food drive and the signs they're holding up about her aren't actually about her, only there for the food drive but also trying to silently protest, and also they don't have a voice despite her encouraging them to talk multiple times meanwhile they're the ones who called it a SILENT protest... The gaslighting is unreal, but who needs facts when you can be part of a very inclusive no strings attached group that'll never kick you out no matter how vile you are, all just for living off of nothing but your feelings?

    • @miriamrobarts
      @miriamrobarts Рік тому +10

      You can learn to have this kind of calm & resilience. You basically need two things:
      1. Have confidence in yourself & what you believe in.
      You know that you are a person who deserves respect. It doesn't matter if someone disrespects you, because you respect yourself. If you are confident that what you believe is right, you don't need someone else to validate it, because you already know it's true.
      2. Decide now that you won't take offense (no matter what anyone says or does).
      Making the choice ahead of time helps you make a wise decision that isn't swayed by the emotion of the moment.
      A lot of people believe that we can't control the way we feel, and to a certain extent, that is true. Emotions will come up, but we do have the ability to learn self control. We can change the way we feel & manage the way we react. It takes a lot of practice, patience, & humility. We have to let go of our pride & the desire to "win". We have to recognize that they are entitled to have their own opinion. When you let go of needing others to concede to your opinion, their opinions against you lose power.
      “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” - Eleanor Roosevelt
